Avee is loud and playful. Life demands a performance to get the best results and, in his short time, he's learned that drama and nipping at the heels of those in charge gets him what he wants. It simply won't do to not have the attention on him.
He's steadily honing biological instinct into keen observation, attuned to the feelings of others but still struggling to know exactly what to do with them. He's headstrong and often overeager, but hesitant to upset others willfully. Though still reliant on those around him for most social cues, he's quick to use his prior knowledge to try and 'solve' the upset of others, and greatly bothered when this fails. He thrills at the chance to entertain others.
He is quick to mirror those around him, seeking the approval of his family above all else. He takes the word of family and authority as truth and absorbs it into his perception of the world, arguing fiercely with those who challenge it and anything else he believes to be fact. Currently, he still struggles to grasp the mutability of certain things. Change tends to frustrate him, and he's easily thrown off by new things. Though often fussy, it's majority insincere.
While he hardly remembers it, the insecurity of his formative years is carved into Avee's nature, producing a habitual and unshakeable vigor and uncertainty.
HISTORY
Avee was born the eldest of a litter of six deep in the cloud forests of Mexico. As his pack expanded beyond the land's capacity, they experienced a dearth of available prey. It became increasingly clear that his parents could only manage to feed a portion of their pups, and that food would be provided to the liveliest and most likely to survive pups. Avee adapted accordingly, but a number of his littermates could not.
Eventually, his parents simply decided to give up on the remainder—Avee remembers, fuzzily, a wealth of days with no contact before he ventured out himself. He wanders aimlessly in search of his mamá and papá until misty forest gives way to Smoldering Wastes.
MISCELLANEOUS
— Raised initially on only Spanish, but the malleability of a pup's mind is quite suited to switching to another, though he'll be playing catch-up with the other pups.
— He was given a name when he was born, but names were quickly abandoned for fear of getting too attached to doomed pups. Accordingly, he doesn't remember whatever it was.
