Aodhán is, more than anything else, open, with a natural curiosity about both the world around him and the individuals who inhabit it. By nature he is empathetic, quick to notice when someone is upset and inclined to offer what comfort he can—even if he does not always understand exactly what someone else is feeling. He has little reason to be guarded; affection and reassurance have always been a normal part of his life, and he will grow up knowing that being loved is not something he has to earn.
That same security gives Aodhán a quiet sort of confidence. He is not particularly concerned with looking foolish, and he is more likely to ask a question or try something unfamiliar than sit back worrying about whether he will do it correctly. Failure does not frighten him much—especially while he is young. For there is always another attempt, another day, another thing to learn next time. He expects that if he gets himself into trouble, there will always be someone nearby to help him out of it—and that certainty gives him a willingness to venture farther than he otherwise might.
Curiosity is perhaps one of his strongest impulses. However, he is adventurous less because he seeks danger and more because the unfamiliar is difficult for him to ignore. If he has never seen something before, he wants to see it. If he does not understand something, he wants to learn. There is always something else to discover, and Aodh is rarely content to leave a question unanswered simply because the answer lies somewhere beyond what he already knows.
Most of all, Aodhán genuinely enjoys other wolves. He likes companionship, affection, laughter, and even the simple comfort of experiencing life with someone beside him. He is likely to approach others without much hesitation and looks to create friendships easily, carrying the assumption that most strangers are probably worth getting to know. That openness may occasionally backfire, particularly as he grows older, but for now, Aodhán's world is wide open and full of wonder.
