He normally would not bother with civilian factions. Let the mortals rule themselves, let them determine their own fate. But in this form, frail and fragile and sightless as he is (at least, in comparison to the transhuman perfection he used to be), he might have to admit that he is no longer the superior being. Perhaps their protection and assistance would be... desirable. If they did not condescend to him, at least. Though his body is not Astartes, his spirit is still much the old space marine's. And he would not be seen with pity or as anyone's lesser.

"A land untouched by humans..." He thinks it baffling, honestly. He supposes he could tell her of humanity, of its greatness and beauty, some other time. But he would then have to tell her of the Xeno and its dangers to humanity. If such a thing truly exists here, at least. Perhaps this is a sanctuary of the God-Emperor's making? (He does not entertain the idea that it is a chaos god pulling his strings instead.)

"But also, a land without daemons-- if you speak true, it is a holy land indeed." His face contorts in what could have been a smile, but he's not used to making those shapes with his mouth. "I make no promises of joining your order. But I have respect for a sister in service, and would hear of your Pillars. I would tell you of the Astartes and their purpose, but you... I assume you were born a wolf. It would be a long story for little purpose." The contortion fades and he returns to his usual stoic form. "All creatures of Terra are sacred. This body may be jarring and weak, but it is still holy. I will take it as an honor."

A land without humans, without demons, a holy land, to this man. Solulfur tilted her head slightly. How curious. Coming here had been a curse, at first - separated from the land of her birthright, from her kin and pack, from the power and guidance they granted her. But for this wolf, coming to this world seemed to have been only a blessing. A land that changed him, but freed him of the plagues that haunted the place he'd come from. How fantastical, she thought.

He assured her he could make no promises, and Solulfur gave an agreeable nod. She held no expectations, only procured the offer - it was likely Dawnbreak could offer Azrael stability and guidance in his new body and this new world that would help him adapt, but if he chose to go it alone, Solulfur had few, if any stakes in the matter. She wasn't quite sure why his face was doing that but honestly, Solulfur spent a lot of time around Aurelia. She was used to it, and returned with a much more charming grin of her own, before turning toward the Frostfang's looming peaks.

I was born a wolf, yes, on very different lands than these. But, you are lucky, Pahadron. I am very fond of stories. Solulfur replied easily, a small encouragement that if he wanted to weave his tale of strange other-worlds for her, she would listen. For entertainment at least, if no other reason. She flicked her tail as encouragement for him to follow her, before thinking better of the nonverbal communication. Did 'humans' have tails? Nearly everything did. Except perhaps frogs. Maybe Pahadron had once been a giant frog? Ew. Come, walk with me.

She paused to wait for him to catch up, ignoring the silly suggestion that Pahadron was at all physically fragile in this form. He was an almost alarmingly massive wolf, with no apparent disabilities...though, perhaps there was something she couldn't see. In any case, perhaps he simply thought the form of a wolf to be pathetic in comparison to a giant frog. She hoped not. We have three Pillars in Dawnbreak, under which our other ranks are grouped. The Pillars are Courage, Wisdom and Power. I am a Mediator, a part of the Wisdom Pillar. Each Pillar has a First Class who is voted into the position, who guide their Pillars with the help of a Second Class, a position also periodically voted upon. The First Classes are primarily figureheads, as any major decisions for the pack as a whole is voted upon by all those who have earned their right to vote. You will meet our First Classes to be approved, should you decide to join, and you are welcome to ask them any questions you may have.

An order with no King, but a purpose served by election and personal prowess? He could tolerate such a thing. He listens, rather intently. She says she's fond of stories, of course, and he notes that for later. He would not burden her with such knowledge now. He walks beside her, not limping on his paw despite the pain. Pain is such a meaningless thing, frankly, that he doesn't even notice it most of the time.

Seems not all of the lessons have left his body.

"I will gladly tell you of my world some other day," he says with certainty. "If your Pillars see fit to have me, at least. I cannot say my military knowledge will transfer to a wolf's body, but certainly some tactics will hold." And any land would need someone strong to protect them. He supposes he could be that person, even in a body this weak. Worst comes to worst, he would find them a den of heretics and need to take steps accordingly. But he is not getting that vibe from them.

Not yet, at least.

"You mention earning the right." There's no disdain in his voice-- if anything, understanding? "I assume the means of earning that right requires service to the Pillars?"
