We’ve gotten quite a few surveys in, and we hear you! We’re still reading your discussions and listening, but wanted to make a quick announcement. We’re working on implementing some quality-of-life changes (pending coder assistance) as well as -
What will be our first fully interactive, full-length board-wide plot players will soon discover and must work together to solve!
This story will have a heavy impact on the world of Mythris and everyone in it, exploring the origins of how it came to be as players embark on a journey led by clues. The world is changing as something dark looms on the horizon, and only by learning the secrets of Mythris’ past can the future be saved.
After all - why do souls suddenly appear in this place? What forces drag our unsuspecting characters from their respective worlds?
Threading and player interaction will be encouraged to find more clues, and we will implement permanent rewards for the penultimate conclusion of the story - stay tuned while we cook!

Howlentines is just around the corner, and it seems Mythris has gotten the memo.
Those strange sculptures of snow have vanished, and with them the colorfully lit pine trees. They were enjoyable, while they lasted, and they created memories you will treasure for a lifetime.
Just as quickly as things begin to look normal, you notice an odd sight — at least odd for this time of year. Pink trees, full of blooming flowers and a rich, dark bark. These mysterious trees seem unaffected by the cold, in fact they look to be thriving… Read more in the full announcement!

Ever wonder about those sparkly dots in the sky? For all you star lovers, the time has come for you to help create Mythris' constellation system! Our Star Constellation discovery page is now live, and characters can now submit their IC-found constellations and see them updated on the new Star Guide found in the wiki!

Goodbye Spooky season and hello winter! Vivarium seems to be ushering in the holiday season with the first world-wide snow fall. Blizzards may be on the horizon, but weather is not the only thing that seems different. Santa Paws has paid us a visit, leaving some interestingly lit trees, animal shaped snowmen, and other things...

All across Vivarium, you will be able to find caves that you swear were not there before, you’re positive they weren’t. Yet, here they were, eerily dark within, as if light stood no chance against its shadows. Under the moonlight, an ominous fog will pour from the entrance, and you notice it looks… strange. It appears to be an unnatural, ghostly green color. Chills rush down your spine, and you can’t help but feel as if something sinister has its eyes on you, watching your every move…

Across Vivarium we welcome the arrival of Autumn, painting the landscape in yellows, oranges, and reds. The volcanoes now lay dormant. No more does the sky darken with thick smoke nor does it rain ash and soot. But, what’s this? Moments ago Mother Nature was unleashing her fury upon us all, and now she seems to be rewarding those that have survived her attempt at mass extinction. For the first few weeks of Autumn, fire rainbows and undulatus asperatus cloud formations will be seen across all reaches of Vivarium!

Summer has finally arrived! Vivarium is filled with warm rays of sun, singing cicadas, and skies of… gray? What’s going on? It seems our carefree, hot girl summer is taking a drastic and unexpected turn. The land is being blanketed in a dense fog of black smoke, and occasionally raining flakes of ash or ember. All reaches of Vivarium has a high likelihood of experiencing this unsettling phenomena.

As the temperature rises, we say goodbye to spring and embrace those long summer nights, filled with fireflies and shooting stars. The overwhelming array of colorful blooms have settled into a lush blanket of greenery, the swarms of butterflies have also seemed to move on.
All seems well within the realm, the turn of seasons effortless as everyone remains busy with their lives, but - what was that?
The earth shakes, rumbling distantly. As if a particularly large stampede is trampling past you, yet you see no indication of the cause.
It subsides a moment later, the world still, as if it never happened. A trick of the mind, perhaps?

A huge congratulations to Psychi Demeni for their forming within Storm Reach! We can't wait to see what they do as the newest additions to the Northern Alpines. As well, we also want to congratulate Warcrest for their formation in The Spine after their previous home in The Eye of Osiris was decimated by an unfortunate earthquake.

Congratulations to Avon Odyssey for their formation in the Golden Glade! Unfortunately, due to its members' dispersal, Elkshire has been forced to disband. The Elk's Crown is now unclaimed, and the remnants of that great legacy are preserved in memory and our hearts.
We welcome Avon Odyssey to the Spirited Highlands and can't wait to see what they do!

Happy birthday, Vivarium! On the 29th, we'll be celebrating one full year - we couldn't have done it without you! That said, we now happily welcome Vivarium's brand new site theme, courtesy of Widow and all of her hard work; see more details here! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts, and we can't wait to see what the future holds!
We would also like to congratulate the Howling Hoodlums for their formation in the Howling River! The neighbors will surely be keeping an eye on them…

Spring of Year 2
Spring has sprung and with it the snow melts away in the warm sun. The days grow longer and the temperature will gradually increase as mother nature readies many species for baby season. Plant life will flourish and wildflowers will bloom in waves.
Unease lurks on the horizon and everyone can feel it. The season of fresh starts and new beginnings is paired with a dark, looming shadow. An unexpected earthquake seems to only be the beginning of this unexpected event.
