I... I'm sorry I... Only meant the prey... He uttered, afraid he'd offended her by stating that there was nothing worthwhile... He should have clarified before. Great there he went going and offending the first wolf he'd met beside Tiberii, he was really good at screwing up wasn't he... Even his awakening was a screw up, he'd tripped the leader of the mountain...

The vale provides everything we need... She told him and he nodded, I... I'm sure I'm so sorry... I just haven't found anything yet... He tried to further clarify but felt he was somehow failing in this too...

She stepped closer, and he allowed it, she placed her paw over his and she told him to rest, that sometimes nothing worthwhile needs to be done. He blinked at her a few times before looking down at her paw on his own, he felt like he should probably feel something, happiness or something... But he felt nothing but confusion...

Maybe the absence of effort is its own kind of effort... He quietly stated, his deep eyes turning from their met paws back to Euphemia's own. Confusion swirling behind eyes that rested under lowered eyebrows.

RE: Scoring the End of the World. - Euphemia - 7/24/2025

skill: [none]

Somewhere deep inside, Euphemia was beginning to feel frustrated with this guy. Though the maiden was the very definition of an empathetic soul, and she certainly felt bad for this man who remembered nothing, she could not help but feel that his meek nature was somewhat distasteful – or perhaps she was simply too used to the typical northern male, brute in both inner nature and stature alike.

Perhaps ‘Wolf’ would get there in time, lest her continue to aimlessly roam their mountainsides like a ghost.

But when he said that to stop putting forth effort was the true struggle, well, she understood.

I get that. she said softly. All this time, she had been so concerned about who he was and his motivations that she feared she hadn’t actually stopped to listen to him. It seemed that he would experience some sort of pleasure (or at least peace) if she left him well and alone, and he could continue his venture alone. Euphemia would leave him to his own devices eventually, but first –

Well then, she concluded, and then digressed. The vale has a secret, she whispered, since she was rather close to him anyways, wondering if she seemed mysterious when she did so. Let me show you. then, assuming quite easily that he would follow, she bounded away from him and danced several paces in the other direction.

Realizing such an intent man might not be so easily swayed from his path, she stopped and looked over her shoulder at him. It will be a boon to your endeavors, I guarantee you, by my Shakti-Vaes blood! then she rolled her eyes playfully, as if such a thing was needlessly said – as if he could possibly understand what that meant.
