RE: Let's steal a motherf***in' car tonight - Sarge - 10/6/2025

Only one pirate lass in the small group seemed to share his suspicions about the vision’s origins. Another she-wolf shoved her way between Sarge and the lass, her attitude bright and cheery as she started to blab.

Letting out a low growl, he snapped, Hush, girl. Did no one ever teach you the value of silence? His tone was low and edged with irritation, golden eyes narrowing as they locked onto her green-gray ones.

Drawing a slow breath, he forced himself to steady before muttering, Sarge. He wasn’t eager to share personal details, but it seemed they were all bound to dig into the vision they had just witnessed.

How are we even supposed to reach a moving island? he asked, frustration seeping into his voice. It’s not like we can fly. And why the hell is it moving in the first place? He ground his teeth, glaring in the direction where the island was said to be. The thought of finding that standing tree and the flowers that thrived around it made him curse under his breath.

We should move before it decides to move again, he said, not bothering to wait for the others’ response before heading down the path that would take them closer to it. Better to act quickly than sit around contemplating his own likely demise.

At the whelp's insult, Cur bristled savagely. Perhaps this was a fae herself, in wolven form, come to trick them! Shoving past the man who seemed to have at least some shred of common sense, she snapped back to Liss following his admonition, Aye an' I reckon ye've 'ad enough second 'elpin's t'balance tings out! Maybe we oughta offer yeu up to 'em first, bet an 'ole court'd be suckin' yer @&#$?&' bones fer a month!

This made the idiot teary-eyed and tail-tucked, which seemed a satisfactory victory. For now.

But of course, they weren't done discussing this. Myna's ears stayed flattened as she rounded on fourth, Magical is exactly what I'd like t'be avoidin' ye #$@&%?*!, tanks very much, the Cur soured back, glaring at the other girl.

Planting her feet firmly in place, the Cur showed no indication of willingness to follow the others on their suicidal misadventure.

I'm forever trying to find the best way to manage Lyra's potty-mouth but since this thread is a public BWP one with bleeped out profanity in the title I decided grawlix would be the funniest option

In Camhanaich, they were kind. And the other kingdoms she'd crossed paths with had, so far, been relatively normal-acting. But these... these vandr acted like all her clansmen's old stories caricatured them to be! Violent and unkind for absolutely no reason at all! Wet-eyed, Liss gave the patchwork she-wolf a wide berth.

Even if the others didn't care, or didn't come, or complained the whole time, Liss wasn't going turn down a bonafide invitation from the gods to see something special. She sniffled, but followed after Sarge into the underbrush, and looked hopefully at the other girl who'd spoken of magic. Maybe she wouldn't be so bad?

hahaha! Trying to NOT have a pirate curse

Batter back and forth, yet in the end the yearling girl had made up her mind by going. The man, now known as Sarge, was reluctant yet followed after. Daiyu would grin up to the very tall earthen coated man. And I am Daiyu. Batted eyes, then made to roll into the direction of the very tiny, angry woman, yet said nothing in return. She was far too beautiful to look so sour. Daiyu was almost left to wonder how long it had been since she had been pleased. She sounded like a pirate, but surely didn't act like it! A moving island, filled with exotic magical flowers, who knows what other treasures await! And Daiyu was quite the collector herself.

In their vision they had been shown that the island currently rest in the gulf where the great Moonpeak Spire loomed. Fortunately, the mouthy one the others were bitching about just so happened to live in the lowlands just north of there and so surely would know their path. Though this was cut out from the girl's mouth before she thought to speak it, Daiyu still found comfort at the side of Liss over the other two.

The trio ready to leave the pirate planted in her spot, Daiyu began to move. Sweet girl, Does the thickly accented voice coo to the other woman as she comes to slip near her soft, tawny rabbit colored body, Do not for a second feel guilt for who you are.

They were still far from the supposed location of that damned island. The soldier couldn’t help but grumble to himself as he marched onward. Why was he like this? What need was there to throw himself into every situation that demanded action? He knew the answer, yet frustration gnawed at him all the same.

He paid little attention to the women trailing behind. Let them talk if they wished, he had no interest in idle chatter. There was a task at hand, and he intended to see it through.

His golden gaze swept across the horizon, taking in the unfamiliar peaks rising in stark contrast against the sky. Perhaps he shouldn’t have been the one leading; his time in Mythris had been short, and this terrain was foreign to him. Still, he would never admit as much. Instead, he slowed his pace slightly, allowing the two who had joined him to draw closer.

Either of you familiar with these lands? he asked at last. I’ve never traversed this area, the terrain’s foreign to me. His tail flicked in irritation, but he forced himself to remain patient.

Liss smiled hopefully at the other she-wolf, though eyes remained stung with tears. Thanks, Daiyu. You have a pretty name!

She was a little surprised the gruff guy waited. Bolstered by Daiyu's encouragement, Liss decided to give helping another shot. Sure, he was grumpy, but maybe that was just because he was lost. She perked up and pranced forward, passing him again, Well, I've never been here exactly before, but I know up that way is where the Druids live. She pointed her nose helpfully.

And this bit over here looks kinda like part of the path we were shown, or I was shown anyway, just a little less squished and magic-looking. Do you think we each saw the same thing or something different? Either way, I've definitely seen that mushroom before. There's a lotta water if we keep going North-east-ish, too, like — a whole ocean! It might even have whales. If we got a good breeze I bet you could smell it. Put it all together and makes sense they'd put an island there. So we should be able to figure the rest out along the way. Maybe we'll even get another vision! C'mon!

Her pace increased.

As the footsteps of the others faded, the Cur was left in a fae-cursed forest with fae-cursed clouds, and realized she wasn't actually sure where she was at all, let alone the best way out.

Alone the fae might bewitch and befuddle her into old age. Her fur bristled, the sudden realization that, as a solitary prisoner, she was at their utter mercy and may even draw increased attention for because of it, escalated into an intolerable anxiety. At least with a group there were others to hide behind, who might distract nefarious beasties!!

Cussing like, well, a sailor — she pinned her ears and set off to follow the group.

Oh, why thank you. Daiyu answered with a waving of her tail and bashful (but let's me honest she isnt bashful) smile on her mug. Daiyu enjoyed compliments as much so as she did recieving gifts and that surely was soon to come.

The sea siren would watch as Liss found herself again, dashing forward with a newfound will.

I had seen a great mountain which lies along the tides. Take us north towards the Druids so we can go around the mountains. When we get close to the sea again, I will know. The sea spoke to her and she, to it. She would find it quickly once the salt lie on the breeze. She was certain too, that the pirate would as well, who decided to come scurrying after. Yet Daiyu did not think herself so lucky that she might siren song this one into deep waters so easily.
