Forest Creature - Deacon - 1/25/2026 It felt like he should remember where he had come from. The memories nothing but a buzzing blur as he tried to get himself to stand. All he could remember was the ripping of the ground beneath him, then a blackness that overcame the atmosphere. The world was gone in the blink of an eye, his feet being taken out from underneath him, and the fall that propelled him downwards to the land below. With a few jabs in his sides and some ruffled up fur from hitting the sides of trees and bushes on the way down, Deacon was not in the best of shape. At least there were no real serious injuries, maybe just a lot of bruising and what not. Orange eyes finally managed to focus themselves on the thick forest, noticing that it was still at least midday by the light that was coming through the canopy. Though it wasn't a lot of sun, the clouds still shown with some of its hidden brilliance. Snow littered the ground like fluffy cotton candy, soft and wispy as he moved through it. What kind of place was this? RE: Forest Creature - Tziauch - 2/6/2026 I love the photomanip you have for him! Beautiful!
The search for a new home began out of necessity. Traditionally nomadic, travel suited her well though the solitude fouled her mood. Many pairs of eyes and ears would make all tasks easier- a lone wolf was one who took on all roles, carried all burdens. She felt leaden beneath them, regardless of her training. Still, the thought of seeking out others did not appeal to her unless she could find her kin. She felt like a stream, fighting to find its way to a river- so it might rejoin and swell with the seasons. Be like water, she told herself- water could always find a way. But the river she searched for was, presently, more myth than reality. Spotting a lone wolf in the distance, she grunted to herself softly, and flicked an ear back. Not of her kin- he was travelling alone, and it was not their way. Still- she too was alone. Perhaps others had been split away from the kin, like her. She approached, though her doubt kept her anticipation tempered. When she addressed the other, she spoke without enthusiasm. ”Mi Vullkin?” She drawled, rhetorically. RE: Forest Creature - Deacon - 2/7/2026 OOC: Thank you! Ears and nose quickly alerted him to someone approaching. The sound of paws hitting the snow coming from behind him made him startle, ears pinned back now and tail almost tucked underneath. Though it was kept close ever since. Silence overcame him, his voice barely able to make an appearance as he watched her approach. Eyes of moonlit gold and a coat with pretty autumn colors caught his attention. But her language caught him further off guard, causing him to stay quiet, but with head tilting in confusion. What on earth should he say? Deacon was way out of his league here. |
