envious flame - Ezra - 2/10/2026

The fog of the haunted hollow did not relent even in the deep of the cold. Warm mists now frozen, clinging to every moss and fern in a sheen of ice. Despite the miles and miles which stretched between here and the tundra, he felt as though it was just as cold. What was up with that!?

The green flame. It was small. Far smaller than the roaring, towering wild fires which he remembered seeing in his youth as he traveled the outskirts the Great Woodlands, avoiding the thick, choking smoke which sent many scattering and others to their deaths. Still, in this bleak cold which seemed to haze the lands in gray and white, it was vibrant and captivating.

Er du gudenes magi? He would murmur to the little flame as he took heavy, limped steps closer towards it. Was it his gods or the gods of this earth's realm? Far lesser than his own, he felt, who needed the help of mortal's hunt of runes and relics to survive itself. Still, the fire in this cold was quite nice.

RE: envious flame - Mara - 2/17/2026

Mara made her way along the hollow. The cold darkness was eerie and made her more alert to every scent and sound around her. The weather was colder and darker than she remembered…

After wandering and exploring for some time, the scent of another Jakten wolf and an eerie green flame lit up the otherwise dreary sky. Wait….GREEN?! Fire was supposed to be orange! Not green. She broke out into a quick but unhurried lope towards the strange green light until Ezra came into view and her hackles rose suspiciously at the flame. She growled at it softly.

What the hell is that?

RE: envious flame - Ezra - 2/18/2026

A woman came. Even in the darkness she would be hard to miss. A primarily blue-gray coating, she looked the embodiment of a ghostly ghoul moving swift toward him. Her darker, roan points giving her a magical air. Fitting, in the presence of the magical flame.

Never seen fire before? He spoke flatly, looking to her with the same bored, sad-boy expression that seemed to cling to him near consistently, savor during a spar. It was really the only thing that seemed to be able to make him smile anymore. Perhaps a good day was in order. He'd have to seek Abaddon. Maybe one day the other boy would be good enough to do Ezra a favor and end him.

RE: envious flame - Mara - 3/1/2026

She continued to stare at the strange fire, one ear turned towards Ezra as he made a flat remark about her reaction to the flame. Not a green one. She responded, equally flatly. She fully turned her head towards the other wolf when nothing happened after a few moments of staring and growling. Wolves wake up here, have strange things happen, is all the fire fucking green too?! Whats next? Flying deer??? She paused, noticing Ezra’s sad like expression. Am I…Interrupting something…? She said slowly with a hint of concern.

RE: envious flame - Ezra - 3/1/2026

Mara shot back at him, not seemingly getting butt-hurt about his manner of speaking (that was just his tone and that bitch look was just his face) but rather responding exactly with the same flat words which Ezra had given to her.

Some haven't seen it at all, I think. At least by the reactions of some he had noted when fires rained down on Mythris not all that long ago. As it were, the both had seen two kinds now, or two colors at least.

No, not really. He answered then to her question, but pushed it off quickly before any further questions on it might be thought up. Its definitely not easy living in this place... A grumble on his breath (as per usual) and his ears twitched, swerving as though about to pin back against his skull in dismay yet he fought against it.

Volcanoes year back erupted off the coasts. Rained fire down on this world and set it ablaze. That was... regular. A shrug. Believe it or not, isn't the wildest shit I've seen either here.
