It was nice knowing you - Aurelia - 3/9/2026 It was... a lot. The results of the vote had seemingly concluded just in time for the sundering of the world. Aurelia looked out at the vast, broken expanse of the northern alpines, heart sinking as her gaze swept over the dozens of crackling blue fissures that had opened up in a single night. She had experienced every single dream up to this point, and for a long time, she simply chose to ignore them. She had other, more pressing matters to deal with than some vivid hallucination telling her to find special rocks. Now it appeared to be very important indeed, and Aurelia realized the full weight of the situation at last. Tiberii seemed happy, though. Shiloh had returned from whatever nonsense had whisked him away in the first place, and she hadn't seen her sister this happy since before he'd vanished. It was nice seeing her coming back around to her old self even if it was happening during the end of the world. Do you remember what they're supposed to look like?she asked, rummaging with her paws in a heavy snowdrift. Aurelia was trying to look in the more obvious places, like around other, larger boulders and rocky outcroppings. The stones, I mean. The... Runes. She felt a knot form in her throat. What if this was the end? What if - oh, don't be so maudlin, she chastised herself - but still, what if this would be one of the last few moments they ever got to spend together? What if... She shook her head stubbornly. I could use your muscle. RE: It was nice knowing you - Tiberii - 3/9/2026 RE: It was nice knowing you - narrator - 3/14/2026 Rune Discovery : 「 Failure — Parasite Present 」 It’al an ti late, elen nieThe Dream Visitor tells you, though there is, perhaps, a note of admonition in your lackadaisical approach to the end of the world thus far. You dig and you dig and you dig. Amidst these rocks, surely there must be one brighter than the rest. Hiding under the snow. It begs to be found! But there are other things hiding in the dark. Your efforts combined are too much the boulder to resist. Your paws leave divots in the icy scape, but keep their footing. Anticipation grows as muscles strain and the hunk of stubborn rock slowly concedes to the force of your determination. Cereful! The voice reiterates with sudden urgency, and your pulse spikes in response. The stone gives way, rolling with a heavy fthmp into the snow, revealing — Nothing. Nothing visible to your eyes, at the very least. But spores lying in wait stir into the wind, and without even realizing it, you fall prey to their influence. You have several options as a player when confronted with infection. You may either 1. Choose to automatically fail in repelling the spores, becoming infected 2. Roll for infection (1d100 - 50 and under fails, 51 and over succeeds in repelling the parasite) 3. Choose to repel them, but suffer a crippling migraine and muscle weakness for two in-game weeks You may roll on the forum or in discord’s bot channel and play out the progression of the consequences without further Narrator intervention. Note symptoms do not manifest immediately, may take up to three days to begin, and can progress at different rates for different characters. The Blue Turtlehead flowers cultivated by Dawnbreak, Camhanaich, and Satriya can be used to suppress symptoms. If you are already infected, this will speed up the progression of your illness. |
