He was a Dapper-Dan Cinderella - Persimmon - 3/17/2026

Persimmon's world expanded every day, and he was just a small fleck in the grand scheme of it all. The young boy liked playing with the long fronded leaves of the palms, rolling about coconuts to see if he could break them himself, and especially chewing on the stringy-outside-soft-inside bananas; he liked seeing birds darting about in the sky, unbothered by gravity, watching the clouds ripple and glow with a light beyond. There were things to do, places to see, and he was here to witness it all!

At Mutter's discretion, of course, or Sparrow 's. Sometimes, Uncle Apricot! There was no shortage of love to go around for the little boy and his littermates, but the least of it all came from Apple. She existed in the den with them, allowed them to nurse from her or pile close to sleep, but was largely not a fan of being played on top of. But that was okay! She'd been the only thing in the den, once, its walls closing them in. Now, they lived beneath a tree! A whole tree, dangling like magic in the air between two cliffs! There were roots all throughout, inside and out; plenty of room for Apple to sprawl along one side and watch them climb about, under and over and onto the roots, digging at the sandy earth, romping around with each other instead of chewing on her in their boredom. Best upgrade ever, if you asked him!

Today was just such a day; Apple, who'd seemed... more relaxed, lately, was laying against one side of the den's tall mouth, watching the kids passively. She wasn't much of a player, herself, but she let them outside pretty much whenever they wanted to go! Persimmon broke away from a heated wrestle with Lychee, panting hard and fur mussed, but still ready to DO things!
He remembered a dream he'd had the other night, and the shiny blue rocks he'd seen. Been told to find, even! Was it like some game of hide-and-seek? Persi was more of a tag kind of guy, but he would play anything!

Gunna 'yook fer blue rocks, he hollered excitedly to nobody in particular, turning and haring off outside into the sand. Apple was quiet, and he put on an extra burst of speed -- if she wasn't yelling at him to stop that, it was okay!

RE: He was a Dapper-Dan Cinderella - Dante! - 3/17/2026

Since his talk with Apricot, and his night with Apple, Dante had lingered closer to the den she had made her family’s home. He didn’t stray too near, but he kept a watchful eye on everything all the same.

It also made it easier to… whisk his sunflower away whenever the opportunity arose.

The thought alone had his tail swaying softly behind him as he made another slow circuit of the area, checking for hazards the children might stumble upon, ensuring no strangers lingered too close.

His black ears perked at the sound of pups at play, followed by the excited cry about searching for blue rocks.

It wasn’t as though Dante hadn’t shared the same dream, he simply didn’t know what to make of it. Leaving the kingdom to search felt like a betrayal, and truthfully, a selfish part of him wanted nothing more than to remain at Apple’s side.

Still… searching within the territory couldn’t hurt.

With that quiet reasoning, he adjusted his path and moved in the direction the child had taken, keeping a respectful distance as he followed.

Rune Discovery : 「 Success 」

It's incredible how often the old maxim proves true — what you are looking for is often right under your nose. Your meandering path leads you beside clear waters. And there, a glint that you might have overlooked as sunlight on the rippling surface if there had been a sun out, catches your eye.

About four meters down, glowing with expectation and promise, sits a rune.

At least one of you can swim, right?

RE: He was a Dapper-Dan Cinderella - Persimmon - 3/29/2026

Apple shifted, not even bothering to lift her head off the ground as she let a lazy gaze track her son. For a moment, disappointment flashed in Persi's gut; she wasn't going to follow, was she? Sometimes she'd walk with them a little, teaching them New Words, showing them new things in this... passive, detached way.
Today was not such a day.

But she still didn't raise her voice for him to 'get back here, Persimmon,' in that flat way she summoned him when she was sick of his shit. So... he kept going! It helped that the area was open, relatively flat; when he looked over his pale shoulder, he could very clearly still see the den, and even his Mutter's golden form.

And a shadow! Persi yapped a joyful sound and hared out into the open sand, kicking up his heels. Didn't matter who was with him, as long as someone was, right?!

C'mon C'mon C'mon, he hooted, squealing with laughter.

A glimmer caught his gaze, and he swerved, splashing right into the shallows towards it.

'YOOK, he hollered -- how easy was that?!
