Once a large cult, Godsmouth has undergone a recent shift in power and strives to find new identity in this new world. Some characters may be loyal to the cult's old leader, and resist this change.

Summarized History

---

Godsmouth was once a prosperous cult lead by a man named Herod. Their figurehead was a a prophetic boy that became widely sought throughout their region for divine guidance. Desperate pilgrims flocked to Godsmouth, offering tribute or favors in exchange for prophecies, readings, rituals, blessings, and the like.

After a year of pure prosperity, Godsmouth’s Prophet was kidnapped, sending the cult into upheaval and chaos. Herod led a small portion of his most loyal followers to find the boy. In the end, The Prophet was found and returned to Godsmouth. Herod, however, did not return with him, and rumors are beginning to spread that The Prophet might have had something to do with it.

What types of characters are we looking for?

• Entertainer types! Bards, dancers, show-girls, escorts, artists, comedians, etc!
  
• Security! Someone has to keep guests from getting out of hand
  
• Chefs, hunters, and gardeners!
  
• Healers, both spiritual and physical!
  
• Diplomats! Those who can spread the good word
  
• Other leads to help overlook the Strand as the pack grows (mostly offered IC)
  
• All character types! I am here to work with you so that any character can find a role and participate!
  

Character Ideas

It is my goal to provide a space for any character type to start a plot! As I have had trouble finding groups for some of my characters to interact with in the past, I am extremely open to working with others to provide a place for odd-ball characters who might not fit in well elsewhere.

If you want your character to have a history with the cult, that's cool too!
They might be someone who benefited from a prophecy long ago and now feels indebted, someone literally indebted and trying to work off their tab, or even a character still loyal to the pack's old ways, trying to uncover the mystery of what really happened to Herod!
