Brynhild had been named second, for the Pillar of power, she had a purpose once more, one she could dedicate every day to. Although just a few days ago, something nagged at her, the dreams, the changes, everything was so different and she needed to do something that would ease this pull in her stomach, and now, she found herself at Northfall's doorstep. Staring up at the mountains and the way clouds loomed dark overhead, would they every truly leave she wondered.

For now, she stood, staring, unsure, stomach suddenly in a knot but slowly, carefully, she started to look around, a gut instinct urging her to stay around, trudging around and sniffing the air slowly. She had a purpose, and she wasn't about to live down being a sword from Solskin, she was keenly aware of the bunch of scents, the way some lingered heavier than others and how one in particular was..Familiar but swallowed by the packs scent and hard to directly pick out.

Slowly, for a moment she contemplated just going home, but something screamed to stay, to let this pack know, or..someone know, she was here and carefully, with a pint of hesitance, Brynhild tipped her head back, letting out a low song that filled the air, a gentle howl she'd picked up on from Ylva so she didn't wreck her own eardrums from being loud.

For now, only till she got an answer, the suneater explored the edges, barely dipping into the borders to avoid the river just a little south east that she refused to go near anymore, not after the..nightmare? she had there, where her limbs had been shattered like a porcelain doll falling out of it's box.

SKILL : - - - ( 1 / 5 )

The wind was tame today.

This observation was one founded only on the fact it was not like the skin-searing winds that assailed she and Alder on their trek up Northfall's mountain.

Solvi allowed it to trawl across her frame as she puttered around outside Alder's den, encouraging her muscles to build rather than waste away any further. She felt more "herself" than in days past, but she was still reserved, retracted. It didn't help that an ominous dream had disturbed her - but it was strangely a distraction from her own nightmares.

Every night, she'd remembered Mors Fjell.

She could do nothing about its fate, but maybe, just maybe she could have some paw in helping keep this one from finding certain doom.

Thus, she searched for "runes."

... Whatever a "rune" was.

It seemed like an important artifact of some kind, and she wasn't sure where to find one. Ideally, it wouldn't be anywhere near one of those glowing blue fissures that had appeared across the land like a cartographer's scrawl.

It was as she sifted through snow that a howl reached her.

That voice.

Solvi would know that voice anywhere.

Brynhild.

Heilamóðir

Her heart pounded in the cage of her ribs as she took a few hopeful strides in the direction of her mother's call. When her limbs came to a pause, she lifted her muzzle upward, returning the howl with a summons - a beckon.

There was a near-zero percent chance she would make it down to the border unassisted, and she couldn't ask Alder to accompany her for the second time - especially when they would soon be venturing out of Northfall.

She didn't want to overstay her welcome - they had been an excellent host while she gathered enough strength to get out of their hair.

She offered a quick explanation of who the howl's owner was to Alder before trotting - with great anticipation - closer to where she expected Brynhild to enter.

As she explored silently, her heart hammering in her chest, worried she'd be answered in violence, she seemed to miss the blunt scent of Solvi on the winds as it softly traveled. For a brief moment, Brynhild wanted to turn tail, act like she'd never been here and return home to do her job, but a beckon silenced her woes and her head snapped upwards. Solvi. And for once, sense she'd return to Dawnbreak, she breathed clearly, a soft laugh settling in her chest as the lady turned.

She no longer cared about the fact these mountains were someone else's, her paws kicked up snow as she bounded through the snow and stone. Claws scraping stone as her bulky, but as bulky as it once was, figure leapt into a full sprint. Tongue out to taste the air, to find her daughter once more, briefly she slowed down to listen, tail wagging steadily in the air. She'd found Solvi- or well, Northfall had but she'd found her daughter, Ylva's daughter. She'd be so happy to have her daughter back..And just in time for spring, for the wedding.

Her nose twitched violently, picking eagerly now, she moved her paws quickly, nearly tripping over a larger stone but got her footing back. She wasn't going to let a little pebble get in the way of her finding the Honeybee.

Rune Discovery : 「 Success - Fissure Present 」

There was, in fact, a Rune close by, and as you release your hopeful song to the heavens, you feel a pull to your right - toward the side of the mountain. How curious! As you draw closer, you feel a resonating hum through the stone as something blue began to glow beneath a small pile of snow on the ground. With a brush of your paw you swipe it away to reveal a perfectly preserved Rune, pulsing merrily as if delighted to be found.

And then you hear a crack.

A short fissure opens up behind you, and you can see another wolf approaching swiftly, small and golden; the ground gives way, and you have to scrabble to keep from slipping down into its glowing depths.

But the Rune is fine, at least.
