Anyone Home? - Dandelion - 3/25/2026 Never did Dandelion think he would see this place again. Dumped back here away from the last home he had, his legs found himself sprawled all over the snowy earth. The sky was blanketed by clouds, snow falling down like glitter. The wind was a little nippy but not too bad. What was really beautiful however, was the faint glimmer of red hues that shown through the snow. Blushed plants were trying desperately to come back, but the world was fighting it hard. That didn't stop Dandy from trying to enjoy his third chance at a life here. The autumn colored male rolled in the deep snow, happy that he could enjoy at least something in this world. The scent of other wolves did become apparent however, raising a slight alarm in him. Maybe they were friendly? Letting his head rise, a friendly call was set loose to the world, hoping that someone else would be kind enough to reach out. Fleta RE: Anyone Home? - Fleta - 3/25/2026 They'd been on the cusp of destruction. Fleta feels dread just at the memory. War had taken over their home, taken the very thing each of them found so dear. They had to make a choice - and quickly - about what to do next. Find somewhere else to go, or return to that place. It had been an easy decision for Fleta to make. Either die for her home, find somewhere else to go - or return to Mythris. She knew the risks. Walk through that portal and be thrown into a timeline not of her choosing - potentially lose all of her family. Many had decided to stay behind. Fleta chose to leave. She steps through the portal, feeling vindicated and scared all the same. Cold air ruffles Fleta's fur. She finds purchase under herself as she opens her eyes, lifting herself up off of the floor below her. There is snow underfoot, dark clouds in the sky, and the darkness seems to span forever. This isn't right. She thinks to herself. It didn't feel like this before. Had something changed? Fleta cannot ask her family - who knows if they're even here. Get it together Fleta! She calls to herself in her mind. You chose this. There is no room for her to turn back now. Fleta must continue on as she always had, family or not. She takes a deep breath, and walks. RE: Anyone Home? - Dandelion - 3/25/2026 The darkened world seemed to swallow everything up, making him feel quite uneasy as he tried to happily roll in the snow. The feeling in the air was tense, harsh and without remorse. What had he walked into now? Dandelion got back to this feet, keeping himself calm through steady breaths. Soft eyes looked around to see if anyone was remotely close, fully aware that he was walking either directly on pack territory, if not very close. A rush of adrenaline did hit him when the sight of something soft and pink came into the distance. Were they going to attack him? Or could they possibly be friends? Against his better judgement, the need to belong somewhere tugged at his soul. A gentle bark in their direction was set loose from his maw, a friendly tail wag accompanying it as he waited for a response. His mind telling him all the while that he might just get eaten instead. RE: Anyone Home? - Fleta - 3/25/2026 Fleta squints against the darkness when a sound reaches her ears. There's a brown smudge in the distance, seemingly another wolf. Her eyes catch the tail-wag. A friendly one, then! Might as well approach. Fleta prances to the stranger, pushing through frozen shrubs. Just her luck to come back during the winter! Fleta is thankful to have such a thick pelt during times like these. Hello! Her tail raises behind her, maybe she can ask this stranger how long winter has been around! RE: Anyone Home? - Dandelion - 3/25/2026 The pink form froze for a moment, turning to gaze off in his direction. Ah so they did hear him! The fear of someone trying to hurt him quickly vanished as they made their approach, the happy look on their face as they became more visible made his tail wag more. Hello there! It's nice to see that I'm not alone out here.Dandelion smiled warmly at her, tail still lightly wagging as he made his soft approach, stopping only a few feet from her. I'm new to these parts. Dandelion is my calling. He made a very small, slight bow to her. Happy and proper he was raised to be, coming out like sunshine towards the new face. Who might you be? Do you live here or close by? RE: Anyone Home? - Fleta - 3/25/2026 Fleta grins at Dandelion. Yes, its quite nice to know that one is not alone in a strange place. Luckily for Fleta, she's been here before. She just doesn't know how long its been, or when now is. All in due time. She will return to try and find her family soon enough. I am Fleta Goldencourte. It's nice'ta meet you Dandelion!Refreshing to see a friendly face after everything back home. She kneads her paws in the snow underfoot. I've just awoken, it seems. New to this area or. Mythris itself? If the latter, she won't be able to ask him about the season - or ask why the clouds look so strange. RE: Anyone Home? - Dandelion - 3/25/2026 Curious eyes watched her as she moved her feet about in the snow. Anxious perhaps? Either really. But mostly just to this area. I have been here before myself, to Mythris I mean.A sheepish smile shown on him, tail slowing down in its excitement. A pleasure to meet you, even if under the current condition of this world.Dandelion glanced up at the darkened sky, wondering what had transpired while he was gone. Had it really been that long? Do you belong to a pack around here?He felt bad about this would be interrogation, as he hadn't meant for it to come off as such. But waited politely all the same. RE: Anyone Home? - Fleta - 3/27/2026 Fleta nods quickly. Similar to her situation, then. It would be useless to ask this wolf about the weather if he'd come at the same time as her. I am Fleta. It is nice to meet you. A pack - Fleta would love to belong somewhere. She's not sure where her family has ended up yet. If in this time at all. I belong nowhere. I'm not sure where my family ended up.She replies. I will find them soon enough! Fleta will not let herself get sad just yet. She'd just arrived - it may take time for any of the others to show up. If none of them do, then she will find her claim on this world. Fleta will figure it out no matter what. How about you? RE: Anyone Home? - Dandelion - 3/28/2026 Fleta Goldencourte was the most beautiful name he had ever heard, like something exotic from a foreign land. Dandelion listened to her talk of a pack, or in this case, lack there of. A slight frown appeared only for a moment, followed by a hopeful smile. I'm sure that you will find them. I left my family behind unfortunately, so I don't know where I am going from here. I just got thrown into this place again, just like last time. Dandy could still feel where his hips and legs hurt from the fall. Bruising was probably going to ensue down the line, a sign that he would have to take it easy when he had the chance. Would you like some company until then?A friendly gesture, nothing more. Soft and gentle eyes searching hers for some kind of acceptance. RE: Anyone Home? - Fleta - 3/28/2026 Fleta left her family behind in a way, too. Some of the older ones had stayed behind in their world, much to the dismay of Fleta herself. They'd all discussed it together - to stay or to go. Fleta can only hope the ones that did not go through the portal can find a good enough life, even with the war. I'm sure you'll find somewhere to belong. Some never do, she supposes. Fleta could travel forever if given the chance, but she'd still like to have a 'home base' somewhere. A place to go back to when things get tough, even if she were to travel for some time. Some wolves never find someone to lean on, Fleta will not be that wolf. If you would like to! I wouldn't want to take from your travels.Fleta grins. She really does not care either way, but having another wolf around will make things a bit easier aside from hunting. She's still not sure what the prey will be like in this weather... |
