So This Is What It's Like - Oberon - 4/16/2026

It was an absolute miracle and blessing. Something that the others would akin to a gift from the gods. And while Oberon wasn't a complete believer yet in such beings, he was slowly beginning to understand and feel welcomed by the possibility of their presence. Seeing the world below now covered in lush greenery and other alpine flora, brought a smile to his face that he thought forever lost. Birds were now singing nearby in the forests he was close to exploring.

The caribou and moose were now slowly returning to their gracing lands just below. Now the pack was not to starve. The need to leave was now gone. Northfall would be saved. Oberon went on to explore the forests of the mountain. Blue eyes taking in the vast beauty of his home seemingly for the first time since he had come here, realizing just how beautiful and different it all looked without the constant touch of darkness. Yes, he felt truly blessed this day. In fact, the whole pack probably did as well.

Oberon

She'd taken to the forests today, her jade optics scanning around the tall giants for anything she could track. Her nose set to the ground and she sniffed and snorted her way through the brush. Sera thanked whatever was out there, above them, below, wherever, that spring had come. The sun had returned, chased away all those terrible dark clouds that had loomed over them for what felt like eons. The rays finally broke through.

Smiling she stopped her aimless tracking for a moment to look up, her eyes squinted in the direction of the burning orb, absorbing it's rays. Her markings glowed now, shone a glittering white and blue along her stripes, but it was hard to see in the sunlight. She didn't mind though.

Sighing she took a deep breath, inhaling the scents of grass and nearby blooms, her head lowering to right with her body and swivel around to try and see if she could spy anything instead of just sniffing it out. She caught the scent of another Northfall wolf and smiled, trotting her way towards the scent off male and Northfall.

When she arrived in his vicinity she nodded to him and let out a gentle woof of a greeting. Sera's eyes shone with kindness as he markings now shimmered in the shadows of the giants.

Oberon had stayed within the depths of the forest, admiring the way Spring took hold and how it changed the landscape. Everything was so beautiful now, greenery taking over and covering the land in beautiful blossoms. Accompanying the scents of the flora was now also the fauna. The trails of deer was now more apparent as he continued to track along the game trail.

Only then did he notice the young woman now approaching from a decent distance. Her coat was brilliant to look at, with a nice mix of black, gray and white along with her stunning stripes. Jade eyes stood out against her dark pelt, meeting his own blues as she made a soft woof in his direction. Are you the one called Serafina? Wardruna has told me about you. The chocolate man gave a small smile and nod of respect to her. I'm Oberon, it's a pleasure.

He asked if her name was Serafina and she nodded with a smile as he mentioned Wardruna had told him a lot about her. He introduced himself as Oberon, and it was a pleasure, with a nod of respect and a smile. She giggled and winked at him playfully, All good I hope! She laughed, tossing her head with a smile, her eyes twinkling at him with that same playful expression that her wink had given.

It's nice to meet you Oberon, She dipped her head again in respect, her face growing a little more serious, though not losing it's smile. He was quite the looker, a mixture of chocolate browns, light taupe's, and soft seal colors. His pattern was quite nice on the eyes and she noted that for later, she would make a note to get to know him better.

Watchya up to? She asked him, cocking her head to the right lightly in question, jade eyes glittering in the sun as she smiled warmly. Sera was quite the friendly wolf, she could be playful and flirty, but she could also be serious and cold if you pushed her the wrong way. Not that she saw this going negatively at all.

Oberon watched as the woman made her presence known, coming much closer with a cheerful expression on her face. Ah so she was Serafina! Good timing! All the good in the world. He gave her a smile of his own, though still had the more toned down energy. Yet he couldn't deny that her energy was infectious, so full of life and vigor.

Checking out the herds and seeing if this would be a good time for a hunt. The pack could use it now that the sun has returned. A good meal would help to further the celebration of Spring. Don't you think? A playful tilt to the head came her way, along with a wave of the tail. A lot more expression coming from him this day then usual. What was the difference, he wondered?

He reassured her he'd heard all the good things in the world and she giggled, a small blush creeping up her cheeks under her striped cheeks, he smiled at her and she continued to beam back with radiant energy and light. Oberon explained that he'd been checking out the herds for a hunt, explaining that now that the sun had returned a good meal was in order and she couldn't agree more.

I agree, the pack could use a good meal, what with my sister pregnant and all we could use the food... Fill the caches a little bit if there's anything left... She trailed off with a snicker and a playful wink, there were quite a few members in Northfall and if they all feasted there may NOT have been anything left for the caches, but that was okay. Full bellies were important.

The hunter tilted her head towards the sky, nose to the winds as she scented the herd on them. I'd be more than happy to help you hunt somethin' if you'd like? Could be fun... She giggled the last part with her smile, coaxing him a little bit towards the idea.

Serafina was like a breath of fresh air and warm sunlight. Nothing seemed to bother her, only uplift. She found ways to be always cheerful and happy, a trait that too wished he had possessed. Oberon found it in himself to smile back, trying to be less of a grumpy gruff man and more open to those around him. Even though it was extremely difficult, always pushing back and keeping them at arm's length.

Of course, I can use all the help I can get. Let's get a move on then before the herd gets too far. Don't want to waste this opportunity. The chocolate colored male began an even pace down the mountain trail, covering ground through the lush forest. Blue eyes looked back to make sure that she was still following him, a happy wave of his tail following right behind him.
