Scattered Cherry Blossom - Daisuke - 5/8/2026 OOC: AW but for Naexi The world he woke up to was brilliant yet blinding. The sun cascaded its rays upon the land in beautiful hues of golds, oranges and reds. Then slowly shifted to lighter tones of yellows that were easier on the eyes. Daisuke didn't know where he was, but it was still beautiful all the same. There was only one problem: the lack of memory. All he had was his name, perhaps some faint images of faces that he gets the feeling might have been family at one point. The feeling of some kind of loss hit him for a moment, though not long enough for him to feel any kind of trauma. Fluttering his eyes a bit to adjust to the light, Daisuke slowly rose to his paws and began to make his way outside. What a strange place this was! All around him, structures of different sizes and material stood in the long grasses. Meanwhile different animals grazed upon the valley without a single care in the world. One or two of them gave him an awkward glance, but then went straight back to eating their morning meal. Guess they didn't see wolves very often. Food for thought if he later decided to prey on the helpless creatures. For now, it was time to explore. The bright eyed and bushy tailed wolf began his own private tour of the area, heading first in the direction of a little rolling knoll where he might get a better view of his new home. RE: Scattered Cherry Blossom - Naexi - 5/8/2026 Base Hunter: 1/5 A plump chicken scratched at the dirt, kicking up tracks and unearthing delicious seeds. It clucked obliviously as it pecked at a particularly plump one, unaware of the predator stalking it from the tall grass. In spite of her creamy white fur standing out from the greenery, the bird remained perfectly unaware of Naexi’s presence. She had the favorable wind conditions and the chicken’s back to her to thank for that, allowing her to get close enough to pounce… The rooster that watched over the flock noticed her and started squalling in alarm, but all too late. Naexi jumped out, the chicken letting out a shrill SQUAWK and attempting to fly away, but the huntress deftly leapt up to catch it from the air in a cloud of brown feathers. She collapsed back to the ground, but she had her prize, and began to carry it off to feast, only to pause at the flash of brilliant red in the corner of her eye. Chicken still dangling limp from her jaws, she studied the area she thought she saw movement coming from with squinted eyes… But she saw nothing. Odd. She could’ve sworn she just saw someone. Taking her food with her, she walked towards an obscuring hill, where she was sure she saw it. Rounding the side, she searched around, eyes scanning carefully… Maybe it was that one woman, still skulking around. She didn’t blame her; this place was thriving with prey, the perfect place to settle. But no, it was someone else. Her eyes fell upon a form, a man standing in the midst of an empty field, curiously studying his surroundings. Naexi found herself oddly enraptured by the sight; there was something particularly whimsical and serene about this scene. Maybe it was the way the light silhouetted him like a spirit of flame, or the gentle expression on his face. Realizing she was just standing there and staring, Naexi set her chicken down at her feet and called out, Hello? RE: Scattered Cherry Blossom - Daisuke - 5/8/2026 You know the feeling right? Like eyes burning into the back of your head? Daisuke was getting that itch, that little tingling in his ears that someone close by was watching him. Green eyes scanned the area, but found nothing. How odd, he could have sworn there was someone there. He kept on going, staying on the hill for a moment longer, vaguely hearing the cry of a chicken in the distance. Someone had caught themselves some breakfast. A good thing too, for others might come running for the banquet no doubt. Turning around to see the rest of the homestead, or at least what was left of it, was when he saw her. A brilliant show of blond and white that stood out against the green grass. There in her jaws, the chicken he head heard screeching before. Her voice broke the long silence, calling out to him. Hello there! Good catch!Daisuke found himself smiling at her, unaware of anything going on beneath his subconscious mind. Mind if I join you?The ginger man awaited an answer, wondering if she would welcome him to her inner circle, or just try and run him off. RE: Scattered Cherry Blossom - Naexi - 5/8/2026 The man turned to her, and his eyes were so warm, his demeanor so welcoming, Naexi began unconsciously wagging her tail. Without hesitation or consideration towards the protocol of speaking to strangers, she picked up the chicken and approached him. Uff coursh!she said around the chicken’s neck, only to remember it was rude to talk with her mouth full and drop the bird once more, Oh, like… Share the chicken, or hang out? She giggled nervously, suddenly feeling very shy and awkward for some inexplicable reason. Something about this man made it hard for her to act like herself… My name is Naexi, by the way,she said, giving him a smile that reached her eyes, Who might you be? Oh… I’m not intruding in someone’s territory, am I? Honestly, that would be just her luck… Maybe this radiant man was the honey pot, and he lured her right in. For what? Who knows. She was getting into a ridiculous and unrealistic train of thought. RE: Scattered Cherry Blossom - Daisuke - 5/8/2026 Daisuke drew a little closer, noting the way she was smiling at him. It made his heart to a little flutter, the kind that felt like butterflies as they flew about. He quickly shook it away, hoping that it was just a temporary thing. Oh no, keep the bird. You earned that. I can catch my own. Just wanted to share the pleasure of your company. The man was now within a comfortable distance from her, sitting down so that he may bask in her positive energy. I'm Daisuke. Daisuke Yukimura. It's a pleasure.A smile of his own met hers, a happy wag of his tail thumped lightly on the ground. What is this place any way? Oh no! I don't think that's the case. At least I haven't seen anyone else around here. Just woke up and bam, new land.It was an awkward tale to tell, but hopefully she wouldn't think him a crazy fool. RE: Scattered Cherry Blossom - Naexi - 5/8/2026 Enjoy the pleasure of her company? Oh, what on earth is that feeling in her chest? It was fluttery and tight, like an excited bird trying to explode outwards. Preening at his compliments towards her hunting skills, she bit her lip to hold back a smile, and failed. Oh… Well, thank you!she giggled airily, My parents were super insistent me and my siblings know how to be self sufficient, so… Hunting is my whole thing. She finally realized her tail was wagging on its own, and sat down to make it less obvious, though it was hard to ignore the sound of the grass swishing so damn loudly, But yes! It’s lovely to meet you as well, Daisuke. Good to know I’m not intruding, either, not sure what I’d do if I angered the wrong folks… You’re actually the first friendly face I’ve run into out here, it’s refreshing! When Daisuke revealed that he, too, had spontaneously appeared in this world, her eyes widening in delight at their camaraderie, SAME! Do you have any idea of how you got here? It’s like this place just… Appeared! And I don’t know anyone from here. That’s not to say she didn’t have connections, of course. She had her sons, of that she had no doubt… And her past lover, there was him. But there was the most important person of all, the one she was most curious about… I had… A family, of sorts. I think it must’ve been a found family, she explained, her ears solemnly drooping, But I… I’m having a hard time remembering them. |
