Good Afternoon Vivarium!
Today staff had a meeting to address a few points. Please take a read of the below to keep up to date on the changes. Be rest assured that an in-depth post regarding some of these changes will be posted on the Forums within the next week.

Territory Visibility
This is to remain as it is. Everyone can access the map but you must be a registered member of the site to access the territories and their descriptions.

Discord Visibility
Non-members can only access General, Bots and Important. To access the rest of the server, people must have an accepted character and thus have the member role. (See exception:  Veteran.) You must still select roles for certain channels once you are an accepted member.

Appearance ( colours & markings) and Character Notes
We have reassessed our boundaries regarding character appearances. This means their colours and their markings.

We desire to remain semi-realistic and intrusion fantasy and in an effort to remain as such, we have made changes to character appearances. Characters may have colours that are a shade or two differenet to that of the guidebook swatches but if they are much more than that, they will be asked to change to reflect Vivarium standards.

Characters may now only have two notes on their profiles/signatures regarding their characters. If the character has a list of 5 notes to make for the art used, this is no longer acceptable. For example, if a character has a mutation, bright colours or markings that are not reflected accurately in the art, a player must choose two of these features to state in their note. The third feature must be changed to reflect the character.

Example:
"This characters colours are not as saturated in character! they have been exaggerated for artistic purposes."
"This character does not have a bright blue markings, this is artistic interpretation only and is not reflected IC."

Due to choosing those two to keep and make a note of for the art used, the player must change their mutation in the art to reflect it realistically and not otherwise.

Brindle markings must now be vertical only, as is in real life. Brindle markings cannot be horizontal or spiral.

Colour Guide and Swatches
To finish being created (colour and marking examples) and posted on the site for visibility. Staff will be posting an in depth post explaining character designs better. This will be done within the week, alongside examples of current staff characters to display what they will change to fall in line with the new guidelines and what is now not acceptable.
