Lily of the Valley - Aviana - 7/13/2026 Her head was pounding as she rose from her daze. The smell of flowers and fresh grasses wafted into the air. The gentle breeze brushed against her pelt as the dame slowly lifted her aching head from the ground beneath her. Paws slowly steadied, her frame lifted up in a seated position as the blurred vision that plagued the young woman slowly started to be washed away with vibrant color. Her chocolate eyes blinking slowly, both in confusion and astonishment.
The cooler temperatures, albeit warmer than what the dame would have thought, was enough to make her body shiver. But, there was one added detail she wasn't expecting. Upon further examination... She had fur... Paws... A...A tail? Aviana didn't know whether to scream or continue acting like this was some normal day! Heck, she was a lowly servant girl, she was not built for such a dramatic change! Her senses had gotten much sharper as she could smell the fresh flowers, the tender grasses... The rabbit that was eying her from a distance as if, it too, had noticed the sudden change. How could this have happened? She remembered the Lord of the estate approaching her, asking for her to 'spend some time with him...' And then upon her refusal she had awoken to this sudden change in atmosphere and scenery... Was God putting her through some test? Whatever the case may be, she wanted answers. Her cranium looked to the sky, mesmerized by the beautiful array of colors. A new dawn to a new life, she supposed. Her thick fur was at least making things somewhat tolerable despite the season. What would her family think of her sudden departure? Would they go out looking for her? She sighed at the thought. All she knew was the here and now... And she was alone...as what she could assume by looks was a Mac Tìre... a wolf... Well, she wasn't going to get answers just standing around. She might as well smile and make the most of the situation... Whatever the case may be, she was going to be herself... Maybe the locals would have more answers than she did in this current time as she walked onward. Her legs being rather unsteady as they are rather new to her, causing her body to move like a pup who grew enough to walk around for the first time. Hopefully nobody was seeing the embarrassing display... RE: Lily of the Valley - Persimmon - 7/13/2026 It was time to go home.
The thought struck Persi one gentle morning, padding through the flowers and watching the sun blaze up on the line of the horizon. Miss Fable was kind, kinder than he ever could've expected of a stranger. All of Avon, really, had a way of being comforting and loving and warm, all things he'd always searched for back at home. Knowing there was a love present and really feeling it - the difference was stark. But Persi wasn't mad at Apple. He thought she must have some reason for keeping them -everyone- at arms length. Growing older meant understanding that, even when he didn't really understand why. So he would go home, and he would hug his Mutter, and he would try to be the best son he could be. He would show her there was still joy in life! And would he have good news for her!! There was another Dusk, right here in the kingdom of Avon - one that knew his Mutter! He was going to see if she and her husband wanted to come see the Oasis, and Apple, when he went back. Yet what was one more pretty morning walk, vibrant colors shining over the distant forests, the breeze rustling his fuzzy pelt. A tall, golden woman caught his gaze, and he didn't think he recognized her. Getting older, realizing he was Different than others, he'd come to start compensating; if he had no sense of smell to go by, then he had to make sure he noted the colors of fur and voices to recognize those he knew, follow visibly-worn trails and tracks. Perhaps she was new, though. Persi wasn't entirely sure, but she didn't look like she was dangerous, either. Just a girl, wobbly in the knees, pretty, looking rather... confused. 'ello miss,he chimed easily, tail wagging as he pranced over, eyes glittering, You new to Avon? RE: Lily of the Valley - Aviana - 7/13/2026 Time ticked on by at a snails pace as the dame continued her stroll through the meadows. The beautiful flowers were breathtaking and made for a wonderful discovery. Sure, there were flowers where she had come from; but baking, chores, and other things needing to be done around the estate made traveling rather difficult. The only real thing she could do was gather wool to weave clothing for repairs. Either way, the scenery was a breath of fresh air.
However, there was one thing the fae wasn't expecting to see right away. A stranger, one of unique coloration that was rather pleasing to the eye. She watched how he seemed to bound over to her, a gentleness in his step and the way he spoke to her. By examination he seemed to be younger, but she wasn't sure by how much. At first, she wasn't sure how he was speaking to her, let alone the fact she could understand his speech. She had to remember what had happened literally not too long ago... She could be rather scatterbrained at times, but the attempt was there. She dipped her head in greeting, her only way of showing respect as, back at home, she would curtsey to those of higher ranking than she. "Dia dhuit," she spoke, voice barely above a whisper as she addressed the young lad, "Yes, I am, but I... currently do not know where me legs have taken me. Do you know the name of this place?" Her quietness was something she'd need to get better about; but, at least it was an attempt of communicating with the locals... Even if she still didn't understand certain things: such as, how and why she ended up here of all places. RE: Lily of the Valley - Persimmon - 7/14/2026 A familiar phrase dropped from her lips, and man, was he glad he'd been learning from miss Fable and miss Epona!
Dia is muire dhuit,he offered back, dipping his head in return and one leg lifting to touch a paw against his chest in a princely, if brief, little bow. She admitted she was, in fact, new here, saying she didn't... know where she was. Not of Avon, then, he assumed. New to Mythris. Some people just did this, showed up! Persimmon had never been old enough or of the understanding to help, but he thought surely he could now! Was she a Goldencourte too? Had the priest called her here? Was she a fae, like he'd learned about from Avon? Was she just some poor lost pretty girl, alone in this new world? This is Blushed Meadows, home of the Kingdom of Avon,he parroted dutifully, a grinning wide, crooked tail waving ever faster, Of the land Mythris. He could get more specific and tell her what part of the meadow they were in as named by the kingdom, but that hardly seemed necessary. She already seemed to be reeling, confused, overwhelmed; he desperately wanted to help, but wasn't entirely sure how to. My name is Persimmon; Prince Persimmon Kasimir Dusk. That, she hadn't asked, but it only seemed natural to introduce himself, too! RE: Lily of the Valley - Aviana - 7/14/2026 Upon hearing his name and the way he presented himself; the lass didn't realize she was standing in front of royalty, no matter how young he was. She was glad he seemed rather sincere, otherwise things may have been far worse for her. But, that was the woman's thoughts getting the better of her; for she'd seen terrible situations happen to lads and lasses who didn't show respect to authority... She thought about her current situation and how everything came to be. Perhaps she didn't show the same respect to the Lord of the estate either... But alas, nothing could be done now and she had kept what was hers no matter what appearance she was in.
The Kingdom of Avon was not a place she was familiar with. Then again, the scenery as a whole was new judging by the coloration of the meadows, the scents... The fact she was talking with a wolf and was one herself. None of this made any sense to her... "It is nice to meet you, your grace," her tone respectful to him, a small, yet sincere, smile upon her face. "My name is Aviana Ó Díomasaigh, and I must admit this place and everything is very new to me... I am just a traveler passing through and wish no ill intentions," Which was true in this case. She was basically a foreigner who had no idea how these lands worked, the customs... It was all intriguing and made the woman have to think a lot more. But, she loved to learn and explore, perhaps this was something she needed. A new change of pace and scenery. RE: Lily of the Valley - Persimmon - 7/22/2026 Your grace? Persimmon waved a paw, grinning bashfully - he was rarely referred to in such a formal way, even at home where he was actually part of the royal family, and he didn't really know how to take it outside jest. She was Aviana Ó Díomasaigh, a wanderer, a kindly being.
Of course, even Persi knew that many bad guys --or girls!-- hid their true intentions to strike when ones guard was low. A bad guy would certainly not tell him outright that they were here to maul and kill or overthrow! Still, she didn't seem so bad. Just Persi is fine,he giggled, I'm not a Prince here, but Miss Fable is very nice - she's the matriarch here, and sort of like a Mom to me! My Mutter is the Queen of the Dusk Oasis, to the southeast of here. She was new here. What did one tell a person who had never stepped foot in a world where Persimmon had always been? It all just seemed... normal, to him. Even being here, away from home, didn't strike him as all that odd anymore. Sure, he had to go back soon -for real this time- but it didn't mean he'd never see Avon again. In a few months, perhaps, he'd come back! Maybe he could even convince one or two of his siblings to come along, though he'd never want to leave Apple all by herself. Either way, if your purposes -or lack thereof!- are kindly, you'll find no trouble. Not here, nor the Oasis. Persi's crooked tail waved a furious pace. Do you need a place to rest? I bet Miss Fable could tell you anything you wanted to know. Or Foxglove! He's a very good doctor. His own experience was unfortunately limited, but if Aviana wanted to learn more about Mythris, they could tell her! They ran this place. Persi's tongue hung out the side of his mouth, his grin ran so wide. Y'know, you're pretty! And real fluffy, like me; maybe even more!He had the especially long tufts of fur along his ankles and ears and face and mane and butt, and there was no doubt he might've been the most fluffy marshmallow in his family with his long, unruly curtains of pelt! But this lady was long-furred all over, and in warm sweeping shades that reminded him of the beach. |
