i was coming in with concerns and now i'm walking away excited to play with my keys - Bragi - 7/18/2026 RE: i was coming in with concerns and now i'm walking away excited to play with my keys - Sindri - 7/20/2026 Note to self: Day 4/6 of heat, starting to grow slightly fainter. Fenglan may or may not be nearby!
If all Sindri had to do to deliver Bragi home, back to Cupid, was guide her? This may have been the easiest mission she'd ever taken upon herself in this short mortal life, yet one she thought would have such a joyous ripple throughout Storm Reach. One starting with one small girl who finally had her sister back, and reaching out to fathers who had thought her long-gone, to a pack who had missed the silent shadow of Skjǫldrheim. With her return could some semblance of peace breathe over their hearts again; so many still were missing, but where one surfaced, perhaps so too could others. Piece by piece, Sindri would put her life back together. She would help their kingdom back to greatness. She would range the land in search of her missing siblings and other recruits if she had to, and she would bring home herbs and pelts that couldn't be found in the north, and she'd do whatever she could to help Cupid and Tyr as she always have. Perhaps, even, produce a few new family members. Not even a week ago, she'd been sure the idea was some level of folly; she was young in this life, the pack was dwindling, and she had no lover at her side. Yet now, hope flourished where before had threatened dullness. Now, it didn't seem so outlandish, expanding the family. Astraios huddled against the slope of her shoulder blades, bobbing with her gentle lope, features lost in his slumbering loaf state. Once they were at the base of the mountain, Sindri paused with her sister, breathing deep. Going this way was perfectly fine, she reflected; there was water at the base of the mountains other sides, and she had no wish to go all the way down and realize it was further than she cared to swim. They could go up along howling river and pass fates respite to go directly home! But first, Bragi seemed to need a moment. Sindri said nothing, just pulled to a halt beside her littermate as she caught up and touched her muzzle briefly to a dark shoulder in silent support. RE: i was coming in with concerns and now i'm walking away excited to play with my keys - Sverke - 7/22/2026 He'd caught a whiff of them when the wind turned, some miles back, while he was making his way north again. And again, going the wrong way. At a certain point, even Sverke had to admit he wasn't really trying to get back to the island. He didn't want to step foot on his mother-goddess' land without the brother he'd grown up there with. He didn't want to encircle the island's beach borders on a morning run and note with every step Asgeir's absence from their scents. He didn't want to face Tyr alone. A failure. Unworthy of following Freya to the Fields. Unworthy of the family he cared about, in his own way. But then, here they were, Sindri and - was that Bragi's scent on the wind too? Faint, but Sverke had nothing better to do than follow the wind up the cliffsides to sate his curiosity. Higher and higher, huffing and puffing under the noon sun, until he clambers over a particularly sheer cliffside, takes a breath, and notes a particularly big dark spot swimming in his vision. Holyyy shit. Bragi. He couldn't believe it, even if he'd followed half a hunch and half a scent scattered on the wind to get here. Sad, quiet, undeserving of the sibling-pelt they share from Tyr, Bragi. Freakish, bleeding, nonsensical half-seer, Bragi. Sverke grins at her like the sun is caught behind his teeth, arrogant and thousand-watt. Well, well, well. Look who grew a pair!Beside her is Sindri, looking well-fed and wearing her normal, dumb 'I'm Cupid's Favorite' face. Ugh. Well, at least she seems alright. |
