And it feels like falling into the sea - Amunet1 - 7/19/2026 For Nyra set on 7/2/2026 after the thread with Jaxxon. ![]()
There is a sense of tension still, but a sense of calm is also brewing after speaking with Jaxxon. The dark woman parted ways with him in search of Nyra. The skies above seemed to split the rain soaking into her pelt, eliciting a growl of disdain. Amunet hated being wet, and her moods were evermore unstable. The thought of having to be damp for longer made her ears pin slightly. The dark woman followed the route she knew best to the haunts of the ivory woman; she is mindful and cautious of disturbing the area. Amunet trapsed like a ghost in thoughtful silence until she had found her way towards Nyras den.
The woman chuffed, hoping the sound would be caught between the sounds of rolling thunder. The rain lightened now to a persistent drizzle, but dark clouds threatened a more torrential downpour at any moment. Despite the mild respite, the woman waited with a tenseness that radiated through her core and a longing to find rest sooner as opposed to later. Perhaps in some ways, telling the woman she would be a grandmother was a bit more... nerve-wracking than she felt when telling Jaxxon of his future kin. Still, she would update Nyra on the affairs of her kin and express her gratitude for assistance as well. — artwork: Ulfeid3 ·

Nyra had been returning to the den; at least long enough to drop Ulfhild off to rest for a little while, a deer's leg dangling in the young Princess' clamped jaws while the Sovereign-Queen dragged the rest of the doe in her own powerful maws. Mother and daughter both were covered in smears of blood, from muzzle to chest and down their forelegs in places. Seeing Amunet Neith waiting, Nyra looked to her daughter and gestured for the Vakker to go rest and eat with a jerk of her muzzle and a gruff puff of breath. Ulfhild's gaze flicked to the dark-swathed woman briefly before she disappeared into the den with the deer leg. That settled, Nyra finished dragging the fresh doe corpse over, finally letting it fall with a wet thud into the grass between herself and her visitor, noting the prominent swell in the ebony woman's stomach that had not initially been present! "Neith; what brings you?" The Einvald greeted with a warm but no less bloodied smile, her voice a little breathier than usual in the moment due to dragging the kill however far it had been. For now, the Monarch didn't openly comment on what she noticed, assuming Neith would likely share of her own volition. "If you are hungry, I am willing to share while we talk." She added, tail swishing a couple times with invitation. RE: And it feels like falling into the sea - Amunet1 - 7/20/2026 ![]()
The obsidian-cloaked woman dipped her muzzle to the pair watching as the younger girl disappeared into the den with a leg dangling from her maw. The usually more reserved woman softened slightly, and a smile graced her features before she caught herself. The woman offered a nod as the queen proceeded to speak and invited her to share a meal. Amunet dipped her muzzle slightly in appreciation and respect for the woman who extended her kindness. Moving with grace, the woman cloaked in night approached the doe, still leaving a respectful space as she settled on her haunches before she spoke.
I am grateful for your offer, thank you. I suppose business, among other things, brings me to find you once more.Amunet paused for a moment, left to search for the proper words to explain her current condition, and yet none felt quite right. Lifting her gaze, the woman attempted to soothe her thoughts. I must admit, I wasn't aware Abaddon is your son. I suppose it never came up between us. Our friendship has never really been one of titles or rank. Still...even knowing, I must admit it changes little, but I suppose that is just how our friendship goes.Amunet felt as though she was rambling a bit now, biding time to figure out the words that refused to form with ease or elegance. During my first...I...a time ago, before we had been tasked to search for those lost. I lay with your son and Ezra .Her gaze moves to her own abdomen before flicking back up to the ivory monolith. As I am sure your keen eyes have noticed, those nights did not turn up fruitless." Amunet watches Nyra's face carefully. She feels concern for the sake of the two males, sure, but there was some comfort to know they perhaps had the shield of family as a protection against any ramifications. [q]I also have updates on some missing, but I figure you may wish to discuss one matter at a time. She quickly added before waiting to see what the woman would say. — artwork: Ulfeid3 ·
