[WP] Oh, I'm crampin' up - Yoshi - 8/28/2026 Set for the 14th; the night of the lantern show. For Alaric! <3
Yoshi was alone that night. Or, at the very least, separated from the rest of the clan members by the time the lantern show had commenced. Him and a mass of other bodies had been drawn to the island's shores by sunset with the promise of something mystical, and Yoshiro couldn't reject such an offer of entertainment. He knew little of Tianlong's customs so far, which was something he wished to change the more he lingered within their gates. Were they gathered here to witness some sort of show? Perhaps something similar to a theater performance -- the bard had loved watching dancers and actors preform theater ever since he was young. A free spirted display of bravado he'd probably wished to take on as a profession once upon a time; if he was not to carry the duty of succeeding his father. Though his curiosities ceased when he witnessed what was truly at the edge of Tianlong's shores. By the time a banket of darkness absorbed the sky and the moon cast light from it's center, his lavender gaze caught something as he'd been distracted by the ever growing crowd. Something twinkling from the corner of his eyes that made him set focus on it, and it mesmerized him beyond comparison of anything that had became of the wedding thus far. The rocks, the dampened sands, the water foaming at the mouth of the shores -- it was a show of light. Was this a work of magic set before his eyes? The poet could not tell -- only that it had captured his attention as the scenery seemed to drown out his surroundings in place of a child-like wonder that had once been taken from him too early by the pressures of familial duties... |
