The wedding was lots of fun so far! There had been a speech when they all arrived, but Tavi only really understood that they were here in celebration of the emperor and his wife-to-be -though he didn't know either- and that they were safe here! He'd just thought, well, good! That meant he and Della and Cerberus could explore! He'd danced between many paws the night before, and tried so MANY foods he'd never even heard of before! The boy was a broken record of 'what's that' to Pennyroyal or Auntie Verbena or Auntie Valeska or frankly whoever else might've been close enough to hear him.

He expected tonight to be the same, but then they were all led to the beach! And let Tavi just say -- the beach was so fantastic! The water glowed just like he and Papa did, even brighter! The sand was soft and felt strange beneath his paws, and he'd bounced about a bit before Penny called him back. Quiet time, he had said, which was less fun... but doable. Everyone else was being hushed, too! Tavi was not so headstrong he didn't listen, but he was prone to forgetting...

Lucky for Penny, the shining lights in the water caught his attention as they were meant to, and he went creeping up to the edge of the shore to peer into the depths. When they dimmed, he poked a claw in the water, a soft coo leaving him as the resulting ripple lit up!
Just like his pelt. Like Papa's pelt.

Della, he called, quiet, Come look!

The stars glittered above and reflected onto the water below, and Tavi's first thought was to share it with her.
