think of all the damage I could do - Meliora - 9/22/2026 RE: think of all the damage I could do - Fairytale - 9/22/2026 Fairytale had waddled her way out of the den shortly after Joxer left to hunt lunch for his very, very pregnant wife. Five weeks. Only five weeks. That was the part that made it strange. Her body absolutely had no fucking business looking like this yet. Something beneath her skin seemed to be working far too quickly, reshaping her from the inside out. Her belly had swollen into a heavy, unnatural roundness, stretching the small frame beneath her fur until her ribs were no longer visible. Her sides had begun to fill out as well, leaving her looking less like a wolf who was five weeks pregnant and more like something carrying a litter far too large for its body. And she was still growing. Every time Fairytale woke, there seemed to be a little more of her. Her movements had become a slow, awkward waddle. Her center of gravity was changing. Her body felt increasingly unfamiliar beneath her own skin, as though it belonged to some older instinct that had decided exactly how much room it needed—and intended to take it. Even her scent had changed…sweet, heavy and almost cloying. It rolled from her fur in a strange, unmistakable signal to every wolf around her. FRAGILE. HANDLE WITH CARE. PUPPIES ONBOARD. Fairytale, naturally, seemed completely unbothered by the grotesque inconvenience her own body had become. It was the beauty of motherhood and all of that jazz! .....Right? RIGHT? The One-Eyed Butcher's Bride waddled toward Liora, each step causing the enormous weight of her swollen belly to shift beneath her fur. Her balance had become a negotiation. Her center of gravity seemed to belong to someone else entirely, and every movement carried the uncomfortable sensation that she was merely dragging along whatever was growing inside her. Then she spotted Liora beneath the broad canopy. Shade. Fairytale's ears perked. Ooooh...Her cloudy eyes lingered on the inviting patch of earth as she approached, her round body swaying heavily with every step. That spot looks real nice. She stopped beside Liora, tilting her head. Think there's room for one more? Without waiting for permission, Fairytale began carefully lowering herself beside her. Slowly. Very, very slowly. Because at this point, if she lost her balance, she wasn't getting back up. She'd just keep rolling downhill into the watering hole with the gators. Liora RE: think of all the damage I could do - Meliora - 9/22/2026 RE: think of all the damage I could do - Fairytale - 9/23/2026 Fairytale let out a long, low groan as she finally lowered herself onto her side, her enormous belly settling with a soft heaviness against the ground. Oooohhh... there we go.She breathed out, utterly relieved, then broke into a laugh at Liora's remark. Oh, I understand it now. I understand it very, very well. Fairytale gave her swollen belly an affectionate pat, wearing the proudest little grin despite the sheer absurdity of her size. It's hard! Everything hurts, everything's heavy, and walkin' is basically a whole damn adventure now.She shifted slightly, only to immediately decide that moving had been a terrible idea. But I'll be fine. I've been gettin' dotted on for a good long while now.Her tail gave a slow, content little wag as she rested a paw over the tremendous roundness of her belly. There was something genuinely soft in her expression now, a quiet gratitude beneath all her usual humor. Joxer's been real good about takin' care of me. He's makin' sure I'm eatin' enough, gettin' plenty of sleep, stayin' somewhere warm, and not pushin' myself too hard. Fairytale gave her belly another affectionate pat, her smile growing. If I start waddlin' around too much, he's right there. If I'm hungry, he's already lookin' for food. If somethin' hurts, he wants to know about it. He's been fussin' over me so much I barely get the chance to complain before he's already tryin' to fix it.She let out a small laugh, clearly finding the whole thing rather endearing. And honestly? I'm grateful for it. He's the father. These are his babies, too. So havin' him actually there, lookin' after me and makin' sure we're all okay... it means a lot. Her paw remained protectively over her stomach. Makes this whole big, uncomfortable blimp situation a little easier when I know I'm not doin' it alone.Fairytale patted the roundness of her stomach again, practically beaming with pride. Besides... look at me! I'm doin' great. She paused. ...Mostly. Liora |
