We're overdue for a revival - Foxglove - 9/29/2026

skill: blabbermouth 1/5

The seasons were shifting; fall was officially upon them. The afternoons often brought a cooler wind that faded into nights where it was a convenient excuse to snuggle down with one you cared for. As it was, Fox had a much more important reason to be thinking about the seasons and temperatures - he had five fresh reasons. He'd left the den when Aisling had brought Mariposa and Montrose to see their....Aunts and Uncles. Who were younger than them. Age was strange. After all, he had news to share. So he cut his path towards the Vale after kissing Fable's forehead, and then each of the puppies, and then Aisling's, and then the twins in turn.

It took a long time to say his goodbye's to everyone.

The Kali male had every intention to be home in a couple hours, maybe with some kind of fresh meal for his wife, because the further his paws took him from the den the more he just wanted to turn around and go right back. Somehow it almost felt wrong to be telling anyone other than his Mothers, Epona, and Alistair first, Shiloh was Fable's brother. And sometimes he was scary. But the Lion had not slain him yet, instead, they had brokered some sort of peace and camaraderie in light of their feelings towards.....a certain other male in Talamh. Even though there had been some friction given that Tiberii had not also been stolen to Talamh.

Now though, as his gaze rose to the heights of the mountains that towered over the Vale, it was different. Foxglove could ramble and rave, but all he wanted to do was scale his way to the peak so that he could shout their good news to the world itself. He was content enough to at least howl for Shiloh directly rather than rush up to Frostfang's mountain. He would have been miserable in the cold at the peak while he proclaimed to the world his joy - and it would be worth it. He would be overjoyed for it. First, though, was breaking the news to the closest family member Fable had beyond their Blushed Meadows.

Fatherhood, he determined, suited him.

Shiloh had been equal measures concerned and excited to embark on the newest chapter of his life, but a heavy dose of trepidation followed in its footsteps.

What if he wasn't half the father his own was, what if his tolerance for children had been absorbed by helping raise his siblings? The thoughts were a mire of unending anxiety, but he kept a tight lid on it so as to not stress Tiberii - after all, the absolute last thing he wanted was for her to think he was anything less than over the very moon about their children.

As it turned out, his worries had been for not.

He loved every fur on their tiny heads and he would fight every god single-handed to protect them - sometimes, however, the greatest threats to them were... well, themselves and one another. The rambunctious nature of his bloodline had really delivered and, had they been human, he was certain there were a few knight prospects among them.

At times, he simply watched them, in silent awe that he'd been a part of creating tiny little creatures who embodied both himself and Tiberii. He was proud - of them, of Tiberii, of himself. As such, it was difficult to pry himself from them for very long, but he wanted the borders safe. The only thing he wanted more than to spend every waking moment at his family's side was to ensure that they could be afforded every single heartbeat the fates would give them. That they would know nothing but safety, even if he had to forge it out with his claws and teeth.

It was on such a patrol that a familiar voice reached him - it was not one of alarm or concern, but friendly in nature. Jovial, effervescent as the sun based upon its tone.

Fox summoned him, and Shiloh suspected he knew precisely why, but he wouldn't be so hasty as to assume. The relationship between them was a strange one; he did not resent Fox as he had in Talamh, not quite so keenly. Now that he was within Mythris' grasp and Tiberii was once more at his side, the dismal memories of lacking her were easier to forget. They faded into the woodwork, disappearing unless he focused on them - and it was difficult to give such negativity space when there were better objects of his attention.

He angled himself toward Fox's direction in the next stride, the lion's ears cupped forward.

The best thing about his brother-in-law was that he made his sister happy. Shiloh understood now how it felt to love with all of one's heart, for he was certain the gooey looks he saw the two of them exchange were likely mirrored in himself and Tiberii... though perhaps with less frequency, as their love language was decidedly more... aggressive than syrupy sweet.

When Fox's frame drew into view, Shiloh offered a wave of his tail upon approach.

Fox, he greeted him. I didn't expect ye t'be lookin' for me. More likely, he anticipated his sister wouldn't be letting Fox out of her sight so much - between grandparent duty and keeping Avon running, he theorized they had no shortage of things to do these days as they added in the expansion of their family, too.
