Hello, Vivarium!

To squash the buzz of rumors going around, Minxy has formally stepped down as Head Admin and Staff.

She was quite frankly run down, defeated, and honestly stressed toward the end by rumors and complaints no one can apparently expound upon in favor of persistent and vague allusions to 'someone-said-you-said-something-but-can't-say-what-was-said-or-tell-you-who' - which is no good for anyone, alleged victim OR alleged perpetrator.

The entire staff team is confused and upset too; we're not HR over here trying to say everything is okay. These are real people that were really hurt, in and outside of the team.

Unless people can speak plainly, or at the very least call out suspected behavior when it happens (rather than turning it into a big huge thing later on), there can be no resolution. We're happy to wade through the muck with you and admit when we're wrong but we need to know what happened to be able to fix it. At this point it almost seems an intentional effort to split the team apart, and that's not cool.

In light of this, Minxy did what was best to save her health and psyche by stepping down, and has passed the role of Head Admin to me, Karleesi.

I'm not excited. I've seen the sludge she's had to wade through, the sly remarks and the constant questioning and second-guessing and dozens of hours of work she's put in without thanks just because she wanted this to be a good place.

I only aim to be the custodian of her tireless efforts and original dream for this place. I'm still in talks with a coder; we still have plans to expand and enliven this space the way it was meant to be. I want to get back to the core of our vision for this place, that we as an entire community poured money, sweat, and apparently real tears into - a fun place to write. Relax. Be weird wolf people.

Sonia, boo, Tskani and Rem and I will be staying on to better the site, attend staff duties, assist the player base and pave the way forward. Cyprin has made the decision to step down from staff at this time.

It's unfortunate that it all came down to this, but I'm grateful Minxy trusts us to handle things going forward.

We're humans. We falter. We make mistakes. We fail. Man, I screw up all the time - but it takes two parties to meet in the middle and reach an understanding.

Anyway, I plan to keep writing. I have a bunch of stupid pretend wolves and their dumb friends to wreak havoc in.

And y'all, spare a kind thought for Minx. She's been through it.
