Makara Set 12/2/2024

Pasi was busy decorating today. She wanted her garden and den to be as beautiful as possible, so far she'd lined her home with various herbs and spices from the Isle and had dried blooms laid out along the curves of stone inside. It smelled heavenly and bright, floral and spicy, just like she liked it...

Today she was focusing on stones. Finding pebbles and larger rocks to carry and roll back to outline a walkway from her home to the sea, it took her hours but once she was finished she had quite the path.

Proud of herself the tiny girl giggled and walked back and forth across her lined walkway a few times before she was happy enough with it to run down it like a plane and dive headfirst straight into the waters. The cool bite of winter was upon them so the waters were brisk and cold.

Ooo! She shouted as she pulled her head from the waves in shock... The goddess hadn't expected it to be quite this brisk as she had made the impulsive choice to hop into the salty sea...

Rushing back to the shore she shook herself out, sending little droplets flying under the sun, sparkling like glitter in the rays from the heavens she'd come from, and licked at her paws, trying to warm them. A smile on her face the entire time she shivered as a breeze came rushing over the expanse before her and smacked her dead in the face.

Ack! She cried out again before shaking her shivering body out once more and began to head back into her den to soak in the sun while it was still shining brightly above.

Since their decision to cohabitate on the Isle with Yuèlín, Makara had spent most of his days exploring the territory. After all, it was important to learn the ins and outs of their new home. At first, it left him feeling heavy to remember the caverns of the beach ... the contours of those familiar beach caves, the saline smell, and the shimmer of sunlight as it trickled through to the tide pools. He would remember Dauðabjarg, and the hungry fangs of the ocean on the sharpened rocks below. It was where he had seen the volcano erupt.

It had been their home.

But slowly, he would realize, that home was just where they were. Home was not a location, but a mindset shared by like-minded individuals. And they had, perhaps, found even more family amidst the Yuèlín wolves.

So, the dragon strode along the edges of the ocean, listening to the familiar sound wash over him. He would time the rhythm of his breathing with the gentle lapping of the waves, relaxing as the peaceful hum lulled him into a soft state of dissociation.

It was not until he heard the soft exclamations that he would be pulled from his hypnosis.

Pink eyes would blink, head lifting and turning upward toward an ocean that had just spat out the smaller form of Pasi. "Ack!" She would shake herself free of the water, flicking around her paws as if she'd just touched lava. Makara would chuckle lowly under his breath, picking up his longer stride to catch up with the smaller, navy-hued wolf. Not the best day for a swim, she'd hum as he neared her flank, offering her a gentle smile.

They weren't very North, but the water temperature was different here versus their more peaceful beach.

I know a place we can warm up, he would tell her, still smiling. He didn't realize that, perhaps, the connotation of his statement could be read in several ways. But really, he just had plans to bring her to the sunning rocks just North of where they were.

Makara had appeared, a welcome sight for her sore eyes, and Pasi waved a wet rat-like tail in his direction. No I suppose not! She exclaimed in response and let out a little shudder as the man mentioned knowing a place where the pair could warm up.

The goddess giggled at his comment and felt heat rush to her cheeks with his words, knowing fully what he meant but her mind went straight to the gutter, and she beamed as she came closer to him, rubbing her wet side against his in a teasing way. Please! It's so cold here! Pasi giggled again and stood, ready to follow Maka to the ends of the earth... Wherever that may be...

She didn't mind the new land they had come to, they were pretty and the waters nice and sparkly but... They were colder and the lands always carried a type of breeze, she assumed it was because they were surrounded by water, a breeze the constantly blew through her fur and sent a chill down her spine...

Pretty soon she might need a coat...
