honor the way the wind calls your name - Mink - 1/11/2025 skill: hunter Dawn broached over the horizon, threatening to wake those who hadn't awoken already. Mink had been awake for a little while, watching the snow fall over the fields, taking up the areas where sunflowers had once sprouted. What was left of them were merely shriveled stocks. The borzoi's gaze deserted the boneyard of the sunflower fields and settled on a single rabbit south of them, rooting through what looked to be decently green grass. The breeze luckily carried their scent west and their ducked position against the white ground had kept them hidden. Now, it was about timing. Mink stalked closer, using the death of the sunflowers to their advantage, the snow muffled what would have been crunchy paw steps from petals left over until the ears of the rabbit went ridged. In ten long-legged, graceful gallops; the borzoi on the small thing, teeth sinking into its neck. It was a swift death for the small thing, who'd gotten a few leaps away, but Mink was already far too close and experienced with what they did. It was only a small trot back to where they'd holed up with Hira, where Mink set their meal for the morning aside and looked for the mare. Hira? I've found some patches of grass to graze on if you're hungry for it. Hira RE: honor the way the wind calls your name - Hira - 1/11/2025
N/A Warning The mare herself had been nodding off while standing off. Which she learned she could do both standing up and lying down. She found comfort in both. And she trusted her friends to protect her all while she slept. Ears flickered as she heard the fellow sound of her friend. Eyes gently pried themselves open as she listened to the upcoming sounds of. Hooves clicked against the ground as she gently adjusted to shake her mane. A flicker of her dark tail as she returned such a warm smile to him. Her life felt pretty complete now. Upon recently learning that Rosenwyn was here, that was all she needed. Everything seemed so much brighter. Much better than the black and white she was living in. That sounds lovely.Of course she'd wait for his voice, but she was still cautious of where her hooves took her. RE: honor the way the wind calls your name - Mink - 1/12/2025 Once Hira responded to them, Mink found their way to her, slowly making his way to her side so he wouldn't scare her. Good, here,They offered her the shoulder he always used to lead, This way.And so, they were off towards it. Mink didn't care so much for the meal they'd caught now, after Hira ate, they could eat peacefully. Snow gently drifted down from the clouds, mere flurries to what had been a few weeks ago when the first snow came, coating everything in its grasp. How you are you feeling?Mink asked, keeping their eyes head, ears flagged upward, listening and alert. It had been a moment since Hira had arrived and now with her son returned to her, was she feeling more of a purpose now? Hopefully, she felt some semblance of normalcy. Hira is a 3-2-3 oc. The mare waited until her friend would appear beside her, then would follow as he walked. As far as he would take them. A gentle sigh among the wind. The light snow sprinkled upon her thick winter coat. A swift squish of her tail behind her. Oh how she enjoyed the company of her friend. Oh dear, everything is perfect.Apart from.. missing her husband. Everything was great. She had rosewyn. Her best friend and son. And had two great dogs, best friends to help take care of him. To help raise him in a home where he didn't have to worry about fires. She only prayed that he didn't remember everything. I fear I still worry for his safety. But at least he's home.. I truly hope he doesn't remember the bad times though. I worry what it could do to his innocent soul. She was scared of what knowing where they came from could end in him. What dangers he could be in. There was nothing saying if he and she were there.. that the fire tosser couldn't have followed her now. Oh how she hoped it could stay this pretty in the rainbow. How about you? |
