Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - narrator - 1/31/2025 THE KING'S TOURNEY
The day began early - as it would be a long one - for the bustling collection of wolves within Northfall's peaks. Friends, strangers, and family alike had gathered to mourn the loss of the kingdom's late King and revel in his memory, but today - today, many brave souls vowed to bleed in his honor.
As though Ragnar himself had carved a window from the halls of Valhalla to view the displays of valor below, the skies were clear with nary a cloud - the day promised a touch of warmth, though the rugged peaks of the mountain could possess only so much comfort in the heart of winter. A flattened space was chosen for the day's spars, shelves of shallow and climbing inclines providing seating for onlookers. The frozen ground glittered beneath the sun, threatening slippery footholds for the wintertime battles. Those who stepped forward would need to be quick on their feet, but clever, too - one wrong move could leave them flat on their back or sliding directly into the mass of wolves and beasts who formed the boisterous crowd on all sides. A quiet hush fell across the gathered bodies as two forms made their way into the circle. The moment of tension held the world in suspense before a single cry broke it, heralding the clash's start. POLLUX x FLEETWOOD
POLLUX is attacking first.

Pollux's first fight of the day. It was time to show off her training, all these months with Nyra, Nephthys and that other yearling, it was concerning that none of them arrived like had been planned. But, whatever. Problem for another day. Pollux was up against a grown woman, and she looked as polite as could be as she circled Fleetwood, poised, concentrated. Surely, they way Polly was acting, she wasn't a fighter right? And then she struck, in and out again with a snap of her teeth, aiming for the flank since this wasn't a proper fight, it was a dance. RE: Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - Fleetwood - 2/1/2025 [roll=1d5] Skill: Warrior 1/5
As Pollux circles, Fleetwood does her little hype-up dance. She's keep track of where Pollux is, turning just enough to keep Pollux in her sights. And if they're dancing? She's dancing, too. Pollux lunges, her teeth going for the flank, but Fleet's fast. As Pollux's teeth draw close, Fleetwood decides to show off for the crowd.
She puts her weight on her front legs and kicks outward like a donkey, looking to jam all that flank right into Polly's mouth. An unexpected counter-- and not one that has practical applications, since it's likely to mess with any of Polly's bite inhibition and it's also not likely to do much, but it looks flashy. And looking cool in fights like this is just as important as being effective, right? RE: Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - Pollux - 2/1/2025 [roll=1d5] Warrior 2/5
The older woman was kicking like a damn mule, startling Pollux briefly enough for her to examine her more. Tall, thin muscle...she wasn't allowed to rip and tear, and she was sure she would get disqualified for breaking a bone. So wrestling it was, her teeth bared as she charged forward with a snarl, aiming to push and shove with her thicker frame and paws, if she could just get Fleetwood onto the ground..... RE: Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - Fleetwood - 2/2/2025 [roll=1d5] Skill: Warrior 2/5 Fleet doesn't entirely fall over, but she does stumble back decently and feel her ass drop to the ground. Okay, off-balance, that's something. Scrambling, she finds her footing amidst the bluster, doing a little dance for a moment. Then, she whirls, trying to ram into Polly head-on. It'd look fancy, wouldn't it?
RE: Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - Pollux - 2/5/2025 [roll=1d5] warrior 3/5
Was this woman a donkey in her past life? Or a goat maybe? The yearling felt her breath leave her as Fleetwood's head rammed into her chest, retaliating by trying to grab on with her front legs and turning, trying to throw her or at the very least shove away again. Pollux's teeth were bared, snarling, she was so close to the woman's neck and she couldn't do anything about that. RE: Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - Honoka - 2/5/2025 [roll=1d5] RE: Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - Fleetwood - 2/5/2025 [ it's agreed we're keeping honoka's roll ]
Skill: Warrior 3/5 Donkey or goat? Maybe, honestly, that's close to a dragon, right? She's now pressed against Pollux, not using her teeth really. Instead, she's more interested in pressing hard against Pollux's chest, looking to topple her over backwards. Kinda fun how you can goof off when the fight isn't really deadly, isn't it?
RE: Northfall King's Tourney: Pollux x Fleetwood - Pollux - 4/9/2025 skill: warrior 4/5 One last post for me for some silly character building
This was humiliating. Though at least, this was a grown woman she was fighting, a seasoned warrior though how she yearned to sink teeth into flesh and shake until she was groveling beneath her, meat and bones that she was. But no, instead the yearling was getting pushed around, to the point she nearly toppled backwards as the fight was called in the woman's favor. Polly could see the opportunity as the pair broke away, could see the opening oh so kindly provided, all it would take was one lunge as the woman turned....but no. She had to lose with grace. The yearling nodded her head at the warrior, even though her teeth begged her to finish it properly Congratulationsbefore she turned to leave the ring, so the next could join. |
