Northfall King's Tourney: Fleetwood x Spider - narrator - 2/5/2025
THE KING'S TOURNEY
The day wore on, but the enthusiasm of the crowd only grew brighter. They rivaled the winter sun with their fervor, howling and jeering for the brave souls who spent the morning honoring Ragnar with their battles.
Blood was scattered across the icy field, a testament to the vital spirit that embodied the warriors (and young children) who decorated it with the marks of their battles.
Though the sun rode high in the sky, the spars wore on evermore. Adrenaline ran through the veins of the congregated wolves and beasts alike, spurring the combatants for another round of violence in the name of the late king.
Surrounded by the boom of cheers, two souls found their way into the ring they had only just left. Once the call to commence rose to the mountain air, the battle was on.

FLEETWOOD X SPIDER
SPIDER is attacking first.
RULES
- Each spar is 3 rounds. Before typing out your post, place your dice roll in a post and then edit in your written post. If you are unsure how to roll dice, please see the fields below with each roll code!
- The entrant with the highest roll totals at the end of 3 rounds is the winner. They will progress to the next stage of the tournament.
- Maiming and death are disallowed UNLESS cleared with your thread partner first.
- Each player has THREE DAYS to post for their turn or they will be forced to forfeit the fight. This is imposed to help keep things rolling.
- Predetermined winners MAY be chosen, but it must be communicated and agreed upon by both parties in the fight. If you choose to do this, please denote that a winner has been predetermined, you do not have to signal who wins if you wish to maintain the suspense.
- This battle uses NO modifiers. Participants will use only a d5.
- If you win a no-modifier fight and your next opponent DOES use modifiers, you will need to decide if you wish to continue or "forfeit" to your opponent. The same rule applies to off-screen fights. If your chosen preference is off-screen fights, you will need to decide between continuing on-screen or forfeiting to your next on-screen opponent.
- Off-screen fights will roll three d5 in the dice channel in Discord and the one with the highest roll result is the winner. (Command to use: /r 3d5) If you wish to predetermine the winner between yourself and your opponent, that is your choice!

He was up against his little sister, and Spider couldn't help but grin as they stepped into the ring.
Should we put on a show Fleet?He asked, his nub of a tail wagging. He hasn't had a sparring match with her since...probably since before they were both swept away to here. He'd helped train her growing up, how much has she learnt since then?
With little warning, he pounced, bounding forward before purposely starting to slide towards her with the intention to smack her legs like she was a bowling pin.

And to think, she thought she knew all of Spider's moves!
He rams into her, and she topples, but she's not going to take that lying down. With a laugh, she reaches up and tries to grab him from below and drag him down with her into the snow.

With a small yelp of surprise, Spider goes right back down again just as he starts standing up, twisting around with his teeth playfully bared.
To try and shove her face into the snow, pushing away from her without checking to see if he properly did it before skidding along the ice, turning to face Fleetwood once more.

And with that, she eats snow a bit. Grglgrgl, that's cold! She laughs, then snarls, turning towards him and making an exaggerated lunge at his shoulder. She's mostly scrambling through snow, not really looking to hurt him at all, and this entire fight has become something of a joke. Hopefully the Northfall people wouldn't mind.

This was quickly turning into a play session, instead of a sparring match, Fleet's lunge at his shoulder hit it's mark and sent the older wolf sliding in the ice, the man scrambling briefly before going in for another charge.
Leaping right at Fleetwood.
Catch!Paws outstretched, almost feline like in his play.
