Birds of a feather, we should stick together - Sindri - 4/21/2025 Sindri knew she would probably need to go home before following whatever... pull this was to find runes, doing whatever else the Mythris ancestors needed her help with. Cupid would be beside himself, and after all, Sindri hadn't even thought she'd be gone more than a day, let alone the several it'd taken to get to the mountain let alone the now trek home she had to take.
Perhaps he would be less angry, knowing she'd mostly been with Tyr. She doubted it, but there was always room for hope, right? Well, Tyr was certainly mad. Though Sin had finally felt the spark of a connection with the chimera man, she recognized that he was notably and understandably a little... well, pissed off, short with her, quiet. So she respected that, letting the Big Feelings fade as they put distance between themselves and that prophetic cave. After a long, long time and a good sleep, she woke the next morning with plans to apologize again. She got up super early (before the sun! it was always hard to sleep at night, though she was doing her best to rest when Tyr told her to), and managed to chase down two pale hares. The piebald runt hurried back with all the swiftness she had in her paws, noting the sun climbing the sky, and hoped Tyr was still asleep. She offered a muffled woof as she drew nearer to where they'd bunked down. RE: Birds of a feather, we should stick together - Tyr - 4/21/2025 ![]() 「 Skill Point ― n/a 」
He was tired. Both mentally and physically, to the point he had not noticed his daughter leave. While she had snuck away, he lay against a rock, shielding himself from the elements like the cold wind of the tundra. He was content. He was unaware.
Even as the time stretched on, the Norseman remained asleep. It seemed like he had much to catch up on after the gods of the world reached out. With whispers of runes, of a journey to find them, while all he’d wanted was to find this unruly child? Frankly, Tyr needed a holiday. Somewhere in the sun and away from all the ruckus for just a day. Or it seemed, he needed to sleep. To sleep for hours on end. To lose his child once more, apparently. But he was none the wiser, a slight snore caught in his throat. RE: Birds of a feather, we should stick together - Sindri - 4/25/2025 Sindri thought she might've been lucky Tyr had been so wound up after all, because much to her surprise, she found him right where she'd left him. Dead asleep. That was for the better, though she knew that breakfast alone was an obvious tip off she'd been gone again. Still, he didn't need to know how long! No harm, no foul, right? She crept up on light, quick paws and placed one bunny before Tyr, and settled in parallel with him with her own before leaning into his shoulder. She hoped to rouse him gently, and hopefully, breakfast in bed was a good start to her apology.
She laid against him and looked up, a sweet smile lighting up her features as she awaited his delight. Because obviously, she had done great, right? RE: Birds of a feather, we should stick together - Tyr - 4/29/2025 ![]() 「 Skill Point ― n/a 」
He awoke with the soft flutter of his lids, peering up only to be confronted by the still somewhat warm body of a rabbit against his paws. An offering. It widened his gaze, his head swinging as he searched for Sindri only to find her beady little eyes staring at him in wait with the happiest smile on her face. She thought she'd done well, and when he noticed the second rabbit, she had done well; but at what cost?
The god pulled his eyes away, lifting a paw to wipe the side of his face as a sigh fell, audible, relieved? Or was that disappointment? He couldn't place the emotion as he held his face, eyes closed tight as he thought about how to respond, mind still sick with sleep. You can't keep doing this, Sindri,he uttered softly, not a harsh sharpness to any word. He was exasperated, exhausted. Too tired to argue, to fight this. She'd done well, saved him a trip. While he knew he needed to slacken his leashes on the children, he couldn't go and lose her a second time. What would Cupid think? He'd be broken, as would Tyr, if they lost another child. RE: Birds of a feather, we should stick together - Sindri - 4/30/2025 Sindri's tail wiggled a happy beat as the king opened his eyes and looked to her, but it was short lived. Perhaps she should've waited until he'd woken on his own, rested and rejuvenated. Tyr didn't seem... angry, but he was not entirely pleased, either. He held his head in his paw and Sin's ears slicked back, head dipping as she waited. The scolding she was expecting didn't really come, not yet, but she wondered if that part would be left for Cupids passionate wrath....
Tyr wasn't yelling, but that might've been better. It'ssa apology, she returned quietly, lowering her head to rest upon Tyr's leg, I didn't think the mountain was so far. Thank you for comin' after me. Mayyyyyyyyyybe some better planning was needed in the future, like telling Cupid where she planned to go, or asking someone how far they thought that mountain in the distance might be. Still... it'd been a great learning experience. Now she could better judge distances, now she had real exploration under her belt. Sure, she'd snuck off the island before, but she'd never left sight of the shore. She knew it was irresponsible, and she'd worried everyone... but she had no regrets. She clearly would've been fine on her own, but the fatherly presence of the chimera was, for the first time, welcome. Perhaps she'd been wrong to harken Tyr to no more than a family friend, her mentor, the one her littermates looked like. The girl listened to the chattering of a lone bird somewhere nearby as she tried to explain. I was called, and I knew Papa would be scared. I just wanted to help, Tyr, you heard him too didn't you? If we don't do something, Skjǫldrheim won't have a home left to come back to. |
