Your Door Dash driver is approaching - Aisling - 4/28/2025 ![]() SKILL : - - - ( 1 / 5 )
Of course she knew she wasn't supposed to go anywhere without first asking her mother and obtaining someone to watch over her. But did that stop Aisling from making a bee line to Dawnbreak's border, consequences be damned?
Absolutely not. The tenderheart spent the morning collecting a colorful rush of spring flowers to bring with her, supposing someone might like them if she did. The girl tried to get them a rabbit, too, but she was still far too clumsy in her endeavors and their morsel had gotten away. Framing this all as a delivery to her mathair might help her avoid being grounded for her disobedience. A girl could, after all, dream. She hadn't gotten to socialize much with her aunts and uncles from Dawnbreak and, in the absence of her athair, she wanted to know more about that side of her family. Aisling knew many faces from Fable's lineage - her grandmother Epona, aunt Fleta, and uncles Shiloh and Lugh - but she didn't think she could much more than put a name to a face when it came to the Shakti-Vaes whose surname she shared. Aisling was boundlessly curious about them, but the pall of recent events had rendered her a hair more withdrawn to her small familial unit during the tourney. But now, beneath the banner of spring, she had discovered her vim and vigor once again and, today, Dawnbreak was the recipient of her well-meaning terror. The fawn-spotted youth trotted to the border between Dawnbreak and Avon, hovering as she wondered if she was permitted to pass or not. She knew her mathair didn't mind when Dawnbreak wolves passed through, but she had also been told not all packs enjoyed such porous barriers. She squished a piece of grass between her front paws in thought before ultimately decided to err on the side of caution, keeping herself planted on Avon's side. Her Uncle Isaiah, she recalled, had summoned them from his side of the border - perhaps that was the most polite, and safest, thing to do. Placing her assortment of flowers at her paws, she loosed a short call for someone from Dawnbreak - praying that neither her mathair nor other members of Avon overheard it, lest her cover be blown. RE: Your Door Dash driver is approaching - Sólúlfur - 4/30/2025 Noon had finally circled around, and so Solulfur was stealing a break in the spring sunshine. She was perched atop a lichen-dappled stone, grooming her thick mountaineer's fur to ensure it remained as weatherproof and perfectly neat as ever. A nearby call was quick to catch her attention, though. It wasn't familiar, but it was a summons. From the Avon side of the border, too. Solulfur squinted suspiciously, pulling herself to her paws smoothly and trotting down the mountainside with a loose, confident stride. Her tail swung even with her spine, not quite decided whether she felt it prudent to arrive with her full shroud of intimidating energy surrounding her, or if she ought to risk assuming this to be a friendly Avon wolf politely announcing their welcome trespass. She was glad, then, that she hadn't yet decided either way when she broke through the treeline to spot an almost-familiar pinkish frame perched at their borders. The girl was young, but unmistakably related to Fable, complete with a diminutive stature. Solulfur, being quite self-assured, did not wait for confirmation of her suspicions. She approached the pup with a friendly, broad sweep of her tail and a barked-out greeting: Lítið Shakti-Vaes! The Vale, and Dawnbreak welcomes you. It seemed like an entire decade passed since she summoned someone. With each passing moment, she wondered if Fable would suddenly appear to give her another lecture about the importance of being mindful of where she went unattended. Already, she had an argument in her head - she hadn't crossed the border... yet.
The absence of a recipient was suddenly broken by a black and silver form Aisling recalled seeing before during the tourney - she was not a Shakti-Vaes as she was, but she was definitely a member of Dawnbreak and that easily sorted her into the "safe" file stowed away within Aisling's mind. Her tail began to wave with fervor as the older wolf welcomed her, her haunches shifting with the motion for the sheer force behind it. She tippy-tapped her front paws in excitement, realizing a moment too late that she was trampling the flowers she painstakingly collected. With a quiet "oops" uttered beneath her breath, she stooped to retrieve the now faintly bedraggled wildflowers between her teeth with a little more kind treatment than they'd received from her paws. She stretched her neck up proudly, as though she could bridge the gap in their heights if she just stood a little straighter. Hello!she cheerfully greeted the dark-coated wolf. She reminded Aisling of waters beneath ice, dappled by light overhead. It was a thought she could not articulate yet in her youthful mindset, but one day she would learn to weave more poetic statements. You're pretty like winter - I brought flowers! She paused, maintaining her amenable visage as she added, An' a rabbit, but I lost it. Her tail didn't stop wagging the entire time. RE: Your Door Dash driver is approaching - Sólúlfur - 4/30/2025 The girl writhed, nose to tail, with ill-contained joy. Solulfur arched a brow at the display, watching pattering front paws scatter once-carefully arranged flowers. She halted a few feet from the puppy, waiting for the apparent initial excitement to wear itself out so the girl could speak without her wiggles trying to snap her in half. You're pretty like winter, the pup offered. Solulfur grinned toothily, tossing her head to let her freshly-groomed silver strands sway and catch the sunlight. You are correct,She praised, her accent thickening in her tone just to make it a more entertaining show for the girl. I am born of the sea, the snow and the stone. My name is Solulfur fra Nordri-Crane. I am a Mediator. The youngest of the Shakti-Vaes had brought flowers, to which Solulfur offered a formal nod of her head. This was a thoughtful gift, that showed that the girl was being taught proper manners by her packmates. Very thoughtful. Your gift is appreciated. Come, we will take them to Solvi's den - so the next time a Dawnbreaker requires her tending, these will cheer them up.The Black Sun whirled on her paws deftly, although the girl went on. She had lost a rabbit, and Solulfur wasn't sure if she'd simply dropped a corpse somewhere on her path, buried it and forgot where, or actually tried to bring a living hare to their borders. In any case, it was gone now. Perhaps she'd learn to kill her prey, or cache it where she'd find it, next time. The flowers will do. Will any other Avon wolves be joining you? RE: Your Door Dash driver is approaching - Kier - 5/1/2025 Look for runes. Just because Kier was the undisputed best one for the job did not mean she wanted to do it all the time. She really didn't even want to do it some of the time. Sometimes she just went out and perched herself in a tall tree and took a nap instead.
Plus, as far as she could tell, this valley was pretty untouched by humans. She wasn't entirely sure where to even start looking for whatever odd carvings were supposed to sEaL tHe cOrRuPtiOn aWaY, not that they even paid attention to them half the time. She didn't have enough talons to count the number of times humans had completely ignored the very obvious signs to keep their offspring away from the railing at the zoo. But hey, it was a good excuse to fuck around during the day so yeah, for sure, she'd keep looking. Feeling particularly well-rested on this fine spring day for no obvious reasons whatsoever, Kier spotted her beastie as she rode the wind in from the plains. Talking with a... smaller beastie. Huh. She circled, once, overhead before descending in a rush of snow white feathers and outstretched talons for those meticulously groomed silver strands as she landed on Fluffy's shoulder like a well trained parrot. 'Lo, wee beastie, she greeted curiously, tilting her head to better examine the pup and the bundle of wildflowers in her mouth. Have ye brought an offering? |
