Blood and Stars - Azalea - 5/10/2025
It has been an interesting time, and I know odd things have been happening to me. This is not the lands I have been living in the past two years, that is for certain. There is no sign of anyone I know...but why would there be? I find myself rather curious what is going on here. I have not left the area that I had appeared in yet. Although it is a wide, open area, I do not feel particularly threatened right now. It is actually quite nice and relaxing.
I had moved over to the lake and allowed myself to wash off the guts and blood that covered my pelt. My bloodlust was satiated, and I found my desire to be clean taking over again. I came out of the lake and shook the water off, and by now it is nighttime. The signs of the sun were completely gone over the horizon as I licked my front left paw carefully. When I clean, I ensure I am cleaned properly. As I do so, the stars begin to twinkle above me in the night.
My mother Belhara spoke of my heritage, and of my grandfather Yojimbo. He claimed the stars would talk to him, and tell him things all the time. His homeland had taught him the ways of star talking, and it was a completely normal thing to him. However, it does not seem to be normal anywhere else. Belhara had attempted to teach me the ways of talking to the stars, but I never knew if I was doing it right really.
I let my left paw down onto the ground as I sit on the beach of the lake. I lift my head up and gaze into the stars with my poison green eyes. I take a deep breath as I try to process everything. I find myself calm and relaxed...somehow. I felt a comfort as I looked into the stars. They felt...different. I looked at them intently at they twinkle and I begin to feel that...perhaps I am understanding them right now.

The night is quiet and peaceful, with the glittering stars softly twinkling overhead. As you look at them, they seem to dance just a little more, their bright sparkle catching your eye as they seem to move ... their trails leaving strange patterns in your vision. It feels strange, and you sense that they are trying to tell you something.
You strain your eyes, squinting toward a sky that seems more and more labyrinthine the longer you peer at it.
The breeze sighs, softly flickering past your fur. And for a moment, you can almost hear the breeze, just as you thought you could hear the stars.
Perhaps you need some sleep.
Or perhaps ... perhpas it compells you to keep looking.
Though you don't yet know for what.
