despair in the departure lounge - Cait - 7/19/2025

Drip, drip, drip.

From way above the river, beaded droplets of summer rain fell from evergreen branches onto the bridge of a sleeping woman's nose. In her unconscious state, Caitlyn Fairchild dreamed of her childhood bedroom. Her mind recalled the sound of stormy nights and her mother's soothing voice, the warm embrace of a fur blanket that kept the leaking roof at bay.

Those days were long passed.

It was when one such raindrop landed directly in her eye that she awoke with a start to find herself somewhere totally unfamiliar. "Stupid tree," she cursed, stumbling to her feet and shaking herself free of dust and debris. "Stupid, stupid tree." But the flying kick aimed at the offending evergreen was met with a shower of thick, heavy drips that sent Cait stumbling back with a furious squeal. That was karma, she supposed.

Now even more soaked, she turned her attention to the babbling river nearby to see if she could figure out which corner of the Estate she had stupidly fallen asleep in this time.

Fiadh ?

RE: despair in the departure lounge - Wardruna - 8/15/2025

skill: scout

Cream and black ears perked, the woman's spat towards the tree capturing Wardruna's attention as the wondered the areas around the outskirts of home. The river was a frequent haunt, even more so then ever, as she sought to keep track of how close the purple cloud curse was getting towards her home, plus, if she just so happened to run into someone who had any more information on the devastating situation.

Think that old pine the least of your problems around here..! Wardruna called out through the distance between them, as she caught the blaze of Cait's vibrant coat through the greens and browns of the woodland.
