On Your Feet Soldier - Aeron - 12/15/2025

What the hell happened? Oh yeah, that's right. He was murdered. What he didn't understand was how he was alive....and not in his old body. Aeron looked down as he slowly opened his eyes, realizing that he had four legs and paws this time around. A wolf? He was now a wolf! This was something he didn't expect at all. Maybe the universe thought this soldier deserved more sick jokes. In any case, Aeron continued to walk around and check out his world, noticing how thick and heavy the forest was, how the animals remained nearly silent as he passed on by. It didn't take long for him to get used to walking in his new body, though learning more on how to be a wolf would take some getting used to.

RE: On Your Feet Soldier - Asiel - 12/21/2025

Each day this world had something new and beautiful to show her. Asiel had busied herself with watching as a slug, gray and speckled, crawled up the peeling bark of an old tree. It moved slowly, as though it was in no rush in spite of its short lifespan.

She had watched it for a few minutes, attentive to the way the slime gleamed on its back and the trail left behind caught the sunlight. How pretty, even down to the most minute detail! Perhaps not many would call it so, but Asiel could not help but be enamored by the little thing.

So much so that she did not notice the hushing of the forest creatures or the padding of unsteady feet through the undergrowth.

The lumbering male continued his walk through the dense forest, the frost bitten earth crunching underneath the weight of his paws. Aeron took in everything that he could: the scents, the sights, everything that could be felt. It was almost thrilling to explore such a new world, though at the same time, quite frightening. He never thought a time would come when he was nervous about such a thing. But his past life has now taught him to never say never about anything.

Even the most horrible things could happen to such a well liked person, and it could change them forever. The scent of another wolf managed to shake him out of his slight dip into depression, guiding him towards the lone scent ever closer. That's when he saw her, a wolf covered in pretty light colors. Her gaze was fixated upon a small creature. Unsure of what to say to her, he waited and watched as she continued to study the slug as it inched along, oblivious and care free.

RE: On Your Feet Soldier - Asiel - 12/22/2025

Everything felt at peace. Asiel's tail wagged slow and methodical behind her, perfectly pleased with her slug-watching. At least, until the wind shifted and brought to her the scent of an ocean, which struck her as odd, because as far as she knew, there was no ocean around the area.

Her head turned toward him and periwinkle eyes met amber. He was beautiful, like the earth itself was beautiful, and Asiel's gaze softened a bit as she studied the rich browns adorning his pelt.

"Hello," she greeted simply, content to wait and see what he chose to do.

RE: On Your Feet Soldier - Aeron - 12/22/2025

The surprise of the pretty face caught him off guard, her voice so pretty and fair that he didn't know how to respond. Aeron took a step backwards, trying to regain himself. This was not the way of a soldier. He was not one to fall for such a damsel for it was not meant for him. The gruff and grumpy demeanor came back, with an unusual amount of softness to it that he was beginning to have a distaste for.

H-hello....who are you? Are you from here? The earthen wolf kept his distance, not really sure how to interact with another of their kind. Weird saying that now, considering that he was now a wolf. He was of their kind, and there was nothing he could do about it. Aeron was going to have to adjust to a new life here. But maybe she could help him figure it out along the way.
