Sands - Yaalk'ali - 1/2/2026

manipulated things a little bit to fix current timeline. If it doesn't work just let me know & I'll edit! And feel free not to wait up on me.

Yaal'kali moons now had lost track of the sandy woman. She must have wandered off. That or it was the weirdness of this world he could blame. After all, he had along since his sister once hunted cursed blue deer and the fucking /dreams/.

Yet now as dawn turned to morning and still the sun did not greet them, Yaal'kali could smell the girl Goldblossom on the horizon. A howl out in the gloom, guiding her into his direction, who must have been trailing after them from their move from the great lake to the forest. She was late but had already completed her first march.

Another howl, this time for the attention of brother chieftain. Cen

howlings tore cen from his tracking.
his silverwhite wife roamed, and he trailed at a distance which gave her freedom. but the demands of the band fell to him, and when his brother called, the chieftain snorted into the teeth of the wind and turned to answer.
he found yaal'kali feathered with scent and grinned. have you found a woman after all? he teased, nipping at the frozen air with a lilted look to his single eye.

Goldie followed the beast at a distance. It was not a march sh ewas used too. And often she had to stop for food and rest. More than him, but she kept him in her scent and sight when she could. When she got to the howl. And saw the other wolf. She was appalled at the words that came from his mouth. She lifted her head with pride and shook her head. Making it very known that she was not that type of wolf.

He found a healer. Nothing more.

A laughter from his mouth at his brother's words and he shakes his head in agreement to the disapproval in the woman's words. Healer and midwife, brother. And if calving seasons would soon come, it meant the 'calving' of Saatsine, too.

the woman spoke. cen eyed her with the remaining stare left to him, but looked toward yaalk'ali to translate what he thought was irritation. nudging his brother hard as if to say, 'another time,' the chieftain addressed the one who followed. you know ah -- child-birth? woman's blood? both things stirred in him faint feelings of nausea; there was a reason that lanzadoii men stayed away from the snow shelter.
put to mind of his mate, cen waited.

Sorry Guys my health took a turn. But I hope to be back

Thistle was not entirely irritated. Men would be men after all. They were bawdy and loud and annoying. But they did understand it seemed that she was not for that way of speaking about her. She was a genteel lady. Not a tart.

She nodded her head. I do. I was trained as a midwife and healer. I know much about it.
