He'd settled in here, not completely but also not uncomfortably. He had found himself a nice place in the forest to call his den and had started his venture that day to try anf find things to fill his den with. Trinkets and furs were on his list, so far he'd found some nice small flowers that were blooming in the undergrowth of the mountain forest and took them back. His trips were short treks back and forth as he lined his home with those little blossoms that he acquired.

On his third or fourth trip out he scented a fox... What a nice pelt that would make, a rug for his floor...

How did he know what a rug was...?

Blinking the man set his dark nose to the ground and followed the smells of vulpe. It didn't take him long to find the fresh trail and follow that along the fallen pine needles and brush that surrounded him, and once he did the massive man trotted and sped onward till he found what he was looking for.

A large beast pawed at the ground under his paws, looking for roots or grubs perhaps, and Wolf stopped behind a bush. Crouching down the man wiggled his shoulders and readied himself for the pounce, once he had his mark aimed he leapt through the air and landed next to the animal.

In one swift motion Wolf grabbed the orange, tar and ivory beast in his large jowls and bit down as hard as he could against it's throat. Hearing the crunch of victory Wolf soon dropped the animal to his paws and nudged it with an oversized paw. Checking to make sure he had done it right he sniffed at it a few times before standing proudly over the vulpe.

Wolf raised a tail over his chiseled haunches and waved it a few times with a wide smile on his face, happy he had done it correctly Wolf woofed a happy sound and lifted the thing back up in his mouth to start back off towards home to begin his skinning.

As he trotted he noticed the sun and how it shone down on him that day, spreading warmth through his skin, down to his bones, and how the clouds were nearly nonexistent. He felt a gentle breeze pushing at his short dark pelt, smelled the scents of the fox in his jowls and the mountain flowers that bloomed all around him.

Blood is the essence of all living things, and Azrael notes the blood dripping from this man's jowls.

He does not show aversion. Killing is the way of things, destruction being the ultimate arbiter, and it is an honor to die in the cycle. He will not hate those that prey upon the weak, for their purpose is to feed the strong.

Instead, he glances at the man's kill and nods, slow and cautious, not sure how to cross the distance and open a conversation.

"All good on your end?" he says at last, voice firm, expressionless as the stone stare on his face.

Wolf's expression was neutral and still as another appeared. Another built like himself, large and bulky, The large midnight purple man nodded with a mouthful of fox, no smile no frown, placing the dead creature down between his paws gentle he spoke. All is well... He trailed off, his tone blank and near monotone.

And is all good for you? He asked back, his eyebrow moving upwards in question with his head tilting to the left slowly, mulberry optics met the other's own with a calm demeanor in them. Wolf was a very stoic individual, he didn't express much emotion and so far he hadn't needed too.

He looked over the other again calmly, taking in the coloration of him, he noted that unlike himself who was cloaked in a midnight indigo the stranger was a beam of bright light swathed in golds and browns.

Most of Dawnbreak is comfortable. They do not emote. They do not make things complex. He does not have to deal with useless things like "feelings." He already likes this one. It's another person he doesn't have to care about on any level beyond physical, and that's how he likes it.

(For when the God you worship is a corpse, what are you but the living dead?)

"I am to take note of the new faces," he says, answering the question with the implication that all he is doing is his work. "Those within the protection of Dawnbreak. Are you a new arrival, then?"

Wolf nodded slowly, his eyes closing briefly with the motion before opening again to train on the other. He mentioned taking note of faces and asked if Wolf was new.

Relatively... I came a little while ago... I have been here and there... I wander... Wolf explained honestly, pushing the fox towards the other. Would you like some...? I was going to take it for the caches... The brute told him, dipping his large head respectfully, he blinked a couple times. He didn't know this one but he seemed to be like him on the lack of emotions front. This would surely go well he hoped.
