He'd settled in here, not completely but also not uncomfortably. He had found himself a nice place in the forest to call his den and had started his venture that day to try anf find things to fill his den with. Trinkets and furs were on his list, so far he'd found some nice small flowers that were blooming in the undergrowth of the mountain forest and took them back. His trips were short treks back and forth as he lined his home with those little blossoms that he acquired.

On his third or fourth trip out he scented a fox... What a nice pelt that would make, a rug for his floor...

How did he know what a rug was...?

Blinking the man set his dark nose to the ground and followed the smells of vulpe. It didn't take him long to find the fresh trail and follow that along the fallen pine needles and brush that surrounded him, and once he did the massive man trotted and sped onward till he found what he was looking for.

A large beast pawed at the ground under his paws, looking for roots or grubs perhaps, and Wolf stopped behind a bush. Crouching down the man wiggled his shoulders and readied himself for the pounce, once he had his mark aimed he leapt through the air and landed next to the animal.

In one swift motion Wolf grabbed the orange, tar and ivory beast in his large jowls and bit down as hard as he could against it's throat. Hearing the crunch of victory Wolf soon dropped the animal to his paws and nudged it with an oversized paw. Checking to make sure he had done it right he sniffed at it a few times before standing proudly over the vulpe.

Wolf raised a tail over his chiseled haunches and waved it a few times with a wide smile on his face, happy he had done it correctly Wolf woofed a happy sound and lifted the thing back up in his mouth to start back off towards home to begin his skinning.

As he trotted he noticed the sun and how it shone down on him that day, spreading warmth through his skin, down to his bones, and how the clouds were nearly nonexistent. He felt a gentle breeze pushing at his short dark pelt, smelled the scents of the fox in his jowls and the mountain flowers that bloomed all around him.
