Jökull tried to stop himself from wincing, feeling guilty for making Valkyrie worry so much for him. He could feel her wincing along with him, sharing in his pain and suffering. A wife shouldn't have to subject herself to such grief. No, this just wouldn't do. But he was to remain here while healing. A soft gaze met hers, his voice tired and gruff.

Maybe leave tomorrow morning? I want to spend as much time with you as I can. Even if it means just for the night, I want to see that face before I slumber. Kiss it as you wake before you depart. Their gazes met and he spoke in a gruff and tired voice. He mentioned leaving the next morning, that he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could, even if just for the night, he wanted to see her face before he fell asleep, kiss it as she wakes, before she leaves. He curled closer and in response so did she, her eyes closing with a sigh as she breathed in his essence. Just promise me that when yo do go, that you will be safe. Come back to me, my heart's fulfiller. She couldn't help but giggle, her eyes opening and she smiled with the warmth of her heart. I promise, with my heart and soul love, I will be safe, I will come back and I will return with a healer... She smiled, placed a nose gently to his cheek and whispered, My hearth-fire, my war-song, my peace.

She closed her eyes once more and pressed her crown to his as gently as she could. I will forever return to you my raven in the dark skies... She trailed off, pulling away ever so slightly to open those citrine optics and gaze upon him with the love of a thousand suns.

There was a huge sigh of relief as she spoke, allowing Jökull to fully relax into her embrace. Blue eyes closed as he began to fall into a deep sleep, comforted by Valkyrie's presence and kind voice. She truly was his entire world, even with the love and loyalty of the pack, she was all encompassing.

Perhaps once they got back home, his leg completely healed, they could finally start a family of their very own. A link that would tie them together even closer then they already were. He could hardly wait. The man was now softly sleeping, dreaming of fantasies that might one day come true. His love softly resting beside him in the comforts of the great castle while the sun still rose.
