How beautiful the evening was turning into as he trudged along the rocky terrain. The beautiful shades of reds, oranges, and purple that blanketed the sky, causing the dark colors of night to slowly creep it's way into the firmament. The sounds of crickets and other nightlife reverberated within the male's ears, causing them to twitch. His observant nature never left him, and he wasn't about to let it fail him now.

However, as observant as he may be; his footwork could use some work as he moved around the landscape. Though there was grass, he was used to the softer surfaces his old home had. It was a lot easier to catch prey and... Even catch the straggler in battle that didn't deserve the pain he caused them; albeit it was the request of his so-called 'leader', it didn't make the bloodshed any less easier let alone deserved.

He scoffed at the thought. All in the name of progress. He knew what it was really for: power. He was no idiot to think otherwise, as much as he was sure others would consider him as such. He wasn't about to let his conscience be destroyed anymore if he could avoid it.

Once again, his footing became rather unstable as he slipped, giving a small wince as his paw pad scraped against a rather sharp stone. He'd been through worse, but for all the things to attack him, he didn't expect a stone. Though it was his fault for being rather careless.

He walked upward onto one large stones that were left here to get a better look at his surroundings. Perhaps, even, to watch the last remaining moments of the sunset. He found it rather symbolic actually. Another chapter closing in his old life, and a new one just beginning here. What else could possibly come to make things interesting for his life?

Well... He didn't have to wait too long for that answer.
