RANK EXPLANATIONS
Nautilus - the emperor or empress of the group who leads all the ranks below. this rank can only be occupied by 2 members at a time.
Conch - the ‘beta’ equivalent, the right-hand man of the emperor/empress who has proven themselves highly trustworthy and capable. this rank can only be occupied by 2 members at a time.
Abalone - gamma equivalent. proven trustworthy and capable, may only be occupied by 1 member at a time.
Cowrie - delta equivalent. proven trustworthy and capable, may only be occupied by 1 member at a time.
Junonia - epsilon equivalent. proven trustworthy and capable, may only be occupied by 1 member at a time.
Murex - zeta equivalent. proven trustworthy and capable, may only be occupied by 1 member at a time.
Scallop - the general rank for members who have proved they can be trusted. this rank and all the ones beneath it can have unlimited members.
Whelk - recent joiners who have not yet proved they can be trusted. this is the default joining rank for adults.
Pearl - for older puppies who can speak and are ready to start learning.
Coral - for the youngest puppies, newborns still being nursed by their mothers, as well as misbehaved older puppies who can receive a demotion back to this rank as punishment.
Limpet - for the shunned members who have made a fool of themselves or betrayed the group in some way. equivalent to omega.
