He'd occasionally dropped his kills off at the edge of her densite, expecting to find her inside but lately she'd been wandering again and Isaiah was of two minds. He was glad to see her up on her feet again and managing, but, at the same time he worried she'd push herself too hard and too fast and hurt herself again. Well, saying she'd hurt herself in the first place wasn't fair to her, and the boy crooked his neck to pop it as he shook the very thought free from his skull. Tiberii had been caught up in one of the many fires that had threatened the very lands they lived in. That wasn't anything she'd done - it was an accident. Very unfortunate accident at that.

Secretly Isaiah had fretted that she'd always be hurting - and it worried him because he hadn't learned nearly enough from Olive before she'd passed away. He didn't know how to help. Thankfully, Tiberii had been in very capable paws as it was, and even if she hadn't been the bullheaded Beri would have pushed on through he bet. He smiled gently at the very thought and let that better feeling carry him, making the active choice to focus on the more positive sensation. He felt like he was in a better place most days now. At least he'd been headed in the direction - but he'd felt such an angry surge in him after he and Aurelia had parted.

Isaiah had been many things, many feelings, but rage wasn't one he'd really been too familiar with. He didn't particularly like how it felt. Not when it seemed to make his blood surge and he felt he had no true outlet for it so he'd struck out to track Tiberii down. He followed her most recent trail, chuffing when he thought he was close enough she might hear him.

Once given her clearance from Sølvi, Tiberii was back to her old antics. Her inability to remain still was both a blessing and a curse. The bull felt a constant surge of pent-up energy, and it wavered in dangerous fluctuations within her veins. Her emotions, too, were pent-up and dangerous. It was the result of her stagnatation — or so she would believe.

It wasn’t because she made a platitude of mistakes.

It couldn’t be that.

Certainly.

And so, the bull was constantly in motion … recruiting, marking the borders, filling the caches, and just generally making sure that everything was stable. There were too many interpersonal matters of her own that were not stable, so the least she could do was make sure that same curse did not befall any of her fellow pack members. She was determined to give them all better lives, even if she could not give that same solace to herself.

If they were happy, she would be happy.

She had to believe that the rest would fall into place.

The soft, familiar chuff of her brother barely drew her from within the prison of her own mind. Her golden eyes would blink, freeing herself from her own entrapment as he gaze shifted in the direction of the sound. Her lips would smile boldly as she caught sight of her younger brother. Sweet Isaiah. Instinct would move her towering frame toward him, but she would intentionally slow herself before she came into his bubble, making a conscious effort not to bowl him over. But still, she would swing a scarred paw around, looping it across his shoulders in a gentle half-hug as she grinned toward him.

Isaiah, she started fondly, cupping her ears toward him. It’s a relief ta see ya.

And truly, it was.

But there was a bit of worry behind her eyes, despite her smile. How … how are ya holdin’ up? The words were a bit more gentle, her smile quivering a bit, threatening the hints of a frown. A lot had happened — a lot was still happening. Their family, it would seem, could not catch a break.

Of his sisters, he felt the closest to Tiberii. It wasn't intentional - and honestly most of the time when he thought about it, he ended up chuckling to himself. He felt he was so.....bland and then here came Tiberii like a wrecking ball to disrupt him from being such a sadsack all the time. This was a rare occurrence when he didn't need bolstering - Isaiah was fired up after his conversation with Aurelia. The audacity of Archon - to be so flippant with his mate's brother. He hadn't even properly met them - either Fable or Shiloh, but he'd never say that. Especially not after they'd lost so much.

He remembered that Archon and his mate, was it Story? No - Fable. Fable was her name, he was pretty sure. But they had been present with Olive's passing, somewhere lurking in the back. He couldn't remember actually talking to them, but they were there - Archon knew intimately how much the family had lost in losing their mother. How could he even for a moment inflict that wide depth of hurt on another? On family? Isaiah took a heavy breath and nuzzled in against Tiberii when she hugged him. She didn't shy away from physical contact the way that Aurelia did, and so Isaiah leaned into it, letting the larger woman envelop him for a moment.

When she asked how he was holding up he had to give a little huff of a sigh. M'alright, Beri, He began. It wasn't that bad, but he was upset. Are you? He asked, because he worried about her - about those broad shoulders trying to hold everything up. I was with Aurelia before, and... He couldn't help the way he snorted in frustration, his eyes squeezing shut for a moment as his head gave a little shake. She's pissed. It wasn't very often that he could truly think of Aurelia being enraged that way. He understood though - and he was upset too.

Isaiah was gentle, but there was a surprising tenacity behind those forest eyes that sparked something within Tiberii. Protection. Isaiah was no longer a child, and yet, there was a gentility about him ... a purity ... despite all that they had lost. He was patient, he was kind, he was precious. And it was such qualities that had always driven Tiberii to be overbearing protective of her younger brother.

Something was bothering him.

He was huffing and impatient, and it was a look that was strange on his slender face. Tiberii would frown, not in disapproval, but in pre-emptive agitation at whatever — or whoever — had riled him in this way.

Feels like I'm always far from alrigh', she'd tell him with a hum of her own, flatting her ears against her skull as she huffed in her own way. We'll make our way through. We always do, ya? Together, they were like a complimentary stormcloud and hurricane. But Isaiah would continue, and Tiberii's ears would raise again, standing at attention as her brother mentioned Aurelia.

Pissed, ya say? Understandably so ... if it was about what Tiberii imagined it was. The fire deep within her own chest would rumble, threatening release. But she controlled herself, steadying for the sake of her brother. Honestly, I'm scared ta think of 'er ... pissed. The titan would blink, rolling her tongue over her teeth. Where Tiberii was muscle and attitude, Aurelia was calculated — hidden and sharp, like a concealed knife.

Tiberii was obvious ... like a wrecking ball.

But Aurelia ...

The bull would release a more hefty sigh. Wha's she pissed 'bout? Someone I gotta lay paws on? She hoped it wasn't what she thought it was about. Maybe Aurelia had found a fly in her caribou or something.
