Thread Title: 「 Can’t Help Falling in Love 」

As the dense overcast of clouds clears away you are greeted with the simple, yet appreciated, sight of a rainbow. You can’t see where the other end of it goes, but it almost looks like you could reach this side of it if you truly tried. While your logic tells you it’s impossible, you can’t push aside that nagging “what if” that whispers in the corner of your mind. Okay, it wouldn’t hurt to at least try, right? No one will judge you for your curiosities. You must travel semi-unknown terrain to reach it. What type of treasures may reside there? Herbs? Trinkets? Maybe nothing at all, you won’t know until you reach it.

The weather was clearing. For most of the day, Hikari had been half-expecting for the weather to take a turn for the worse, but, just like that, it wasn’t, and in its stead was a rainbow. Had it been any other day, she would have never given the sight a second glance. Today wouldn’t have been different if not for how close it is.

A tiny part of Hikari, almost pup-like, wants to believe that she could reach the end of it, if she tried hard enough. Another part of her knows she couldn’t- not realistically- but…it’s so close. And she can track where the end of it would land with her eyes, and it’s not that far. And, to be fair, any exploration of this new land is something she won’t pass up that easily.

She’s moving before she can even think twice about it.
