A cove opens up to the ocean, the surrounding hills giving way to its open azure center, its sides decorated with rocky openings and sandy edges. Seagulls whirl through the sky, crying out across the clear waters as they make their nests in the tall cliffsides that harbor many more hidden secrets. Somewhere just out of view, an abandoned boat can be seen lying in its own wreckage, where even more seabirds choose to roost.

All he wanted was a new start in life. A way out that would get him away from his mother and her toxic behavior. Yet her words echoed in his mind like persistent warnings, following him as he became enveloped by a mist. The maze he had accidentally walked into had been taken over by a mist, unrelenting and thick as soup. It covered him from all directions, causing him to panic and eventually black out. His entire world became nothing but an endless void of darkness, until finally he had been sent somewhere completely different. The feeling of something soft was now underneath him. The sound of what he thought were birds coming from above.
The smell of salt water entered his nose in an attempt to wake him. Hesitantly he tried to open his cobalt blue eyes. Everything was blurry at first, causing him to blink a few times to adjust to the sudden light. Once things began to clear up, Hideo was greeted by an ocean not to far from where he layed. Its rolling waves lapped at the shore in a steady rhythm, sea gulls flew overhead in attempt to find what food might be left. The large wolf stayed layed out on the sand for now, simply taking in his surroundings before deciding on what his next course of action would be. But hey, at least he came to a much nicer place then the one he had left.

The raucus caused by the gulls was enough to make the beach annoying this day. Walter was already unsure about his path and which way he was going, and the echo of the birds was a little unsettling for him. Even still, he didn't think he'd ever seen the ocean so he had a resolve for weathering their rough noises. He even had the urge to stretch his legs once his paws hit the sand, an intruistic thought of letting himself be free.
He may even have given in if he hadn't seen the form of another sprawled out on the sands. A large pale wolf who he didn't recognize, but that was fine. He'd nearly given up finding his father anyway, as he'd put two and two together that somehow he wasn't anywhere near his home. Either way.
Morning! he quipped, tossing his head and even raising his tail in greeting. They looked to be about the same age? He even forced a bit of a smile, an expression that was hard for him to do these days. There was always just a bit too much on his mind.

The ocean continued to calm him with its gentle lapping waves. The scents and sounds of the beach compelling him to stay as long as he liked. But he knew that soon he would have to get a move on and find a place to call home for a while. At least until he got his mind made up about what to do next. The thought of seeking out others like him was a possibility, though the young male did wonder if any of his bloodline resided within this strange world. Hideo got to his feet, taking one step at a time as he rose above the soft sands. The charcoal man shook the sand grit from pelt, along with any seawater that still resided within it.
That's when a scent became known to him, guided to his nose by the sea breeze he had come to enjoy. Another wolf was making their way towards him, but not rushing at him full force. Hideo took it upon himself to head in that direction, keeping his cobalt blues open for anyone coming his way. Within a few minutes, the stranger had appeared. A wolf that seemed around his age, came walking towards him. His form was that of rich golden hues, complimented by ginger tones and soft creams.
He was incredibly easy on the eyes, but it was unclear what their intentions were. Ears flicked upwards in an alert pose as the man reached out to him, his voice relatively welcoming and friendly. Same to you, stranger. First I've met in these parts. Hideo did his best to return the friendly smile, though it was a bit awkward. Any idea where we are? A shot in the dark that he might, but the confused and lost wolf wasn't going to bet on it.
