SKILL Orator 3/5

morwenna watched him rise, her breath caught — just briefly — in the hollow of her chest. he was no mewling stray, no feeble wanderer dredged up by the tide; no, tsukikage was something fashioned by harsher, older gods. a fighter, and not just in the way so many young men claimed to be. this one bore it in the bone, carved into the marrow by life and death alike.
her head tipped in a measured nod, silver gaze sharp and assessing, but a flash of quiet approval flickered there, like heat lightning behind stormclouds. yes, she murmured, voice soft as velvet but weighted like a blade. i would have need of such a man.
she stepped closer until the salt-heavy breeze pulled at the hem of her fur and the battered hides still half-draped across her shoulders. she turned her muzzle toward the east, toward the great mountain that loomed distant but unyielding, its jagged crown clawing at the heavens.
there, morwenna said, pointing with a single, regal sweep of her muzzle, i will make my seat. where the wind will carry the name of my house across every valley and plain. her voice dropped lower, something fierce threading through it, something that could not be mistaken for anything but a promise. and if you are still the sword you claim to be, tsukikage— her eyes returned to him, steady as an oath, —then let it be my enemies who learn your edge.
a breath, a stillness between them, and then, lighter, almost wry: will you come?

As the warrior rose to his feet, he could feel her eyes looking over every conceivable inch of him. Morwenna was indeed a woman that sought the highest of quality in her subjects. Those who would stand tall against those that opposed her every whim. Was he such a man that deserved to be by her side? Was what she had to offer him what he sought? Tsukikage watched her silver gaze roam to the mountain top she spoke of, curiosity and wonder equally showing in his own gaze.

Yes, I shall follow you till death takes me. Till the very life from my lungs fades away. Shall I go away with you now? See this kingdom of yours for myself?

Tsukikage eyed her up and down now with his own judgement of such a woman. Morwenna was indeed cut from a very different cloth, much like him. She carried herself with a regal baring and great authority fitting of such a wolf. He just hoped that she was deserving in the end of such compliments. And oh how he wished to test her otherwise, the feel her in every way possible. Though it was probably not meant to be, even if just for the sake of relieving the tensions that so plagued him. Another wolf, another time perhaps.

SKILL Orator 4/5

morwenna watched him with the slow, patient certainty of one who already knew the answer to the questions that trembled beneath his pledge. her silver gaze did not waver, not when he spoke of death, nor when he looked at her as a man might look at a woman. she accepted it all — the loyalty, the judgment, the hunger — with a smile that was neither coy nor cold, but something deeper. something sovereign.
it is merely just bones, she said, her voice a soft crown upon the wind, her eyes turning again to the pale line of the distant mountain. but we will make it something worth bowing toward.
there was no false promise in her tone, no gilded lies to seduce the faithless. only a fierce, maternal certainty — the kind born from a woman who had already lost too much to ever squander what was left. she did not seek men to worship rubble. she sought those who would build with her, bleed with her, live beyond her.
morwenna returned her gaze to tsukikage, and the weight of her smile deepened — not flirtation, but the profound invitation of a queen who knew her worth and demanded those at her side know it too. come, she murmured, a command wrapped in velvet, strong enough to move mountains. let us begin.

fade in your next? i can make a new one shortly <3

Tsukikage continued to listen to his potential new leader and ally. Her words rang true to him, keeping him steady as he slowly started to leave behind the heartache and grief that had overtaken him. Perhaps this was the new purpose and life that he had sought. And with no one else keeping him from this new goal, the northern man saw it fit to begin anew with Morwenna. He moved along with her, keeping close as the pair began to make their way towards their new mountain home. I look forward to seeing it in all its grandeur. It will be done, Morwenna. His voice was filled with a steadfast absolution, the kind that one just knew within the depths of their soul. Of course, you lead and I follow. Just like that, he had a new life and soon to be, a new home. The pair took off into the cold horizon without a single look back.
