The sun had begun to set, drenching the blooming flowers in a brilliant orange light. Everything glowed warm, saturated in soft hues. The soft chill of Alpine air was still a present, but a distant threat, as the warmth of spring fully began to envelope them. It was easy to forget about the plague of the lands when surrounded by the subtle reminders of the beauty of nature and the gentility of the spirits.
Here, the air was clear. Here, the sun still shone. Here, the water was not laden with toxicity. But there was still a plague at home.
One that threatened her family ... her ... grandchildren.
Amaranth moved softly through the field of red flowers, purple gaze pressed on the horizon as she made her way back toward the denning areas of Avon. The Augur wasn't planning on staying long — she'd wanted to come meet the young ones, show her support to Dimitri and Fiadh. But soon, she would need to go back home and continue her search for those elusive runes.
Amaranth would slow, drawing nearer to her destination before swaying to a halt. And for a few moments, she just blinked toward the horizon, her purple gaze laden with unreadable emotion.She would continue to give the new family some space, perhaps only softly wondering when would be a good time to return home.
She supposed she should thank Fable for their hospitality.
