Hello! Thank you for visiting my adopt page! These guys will belong to a pack I am creating known as the Tianlong Dynasty. Below is some basic information about their age, imagined personality, and a short blurb of how my character, Emperor Shēnléi, views them.

Please note: I will be strict with these characters and their designs. I spent a pretty penny on them all and intend to buy them more art. Because of this, I have a strict TOS in place to protect you as a potential adopter and myself. Please understand this when applying.

This is not a first come, first serve application! I will give a week for initial applications to come in starting today and should I find a satisfactory application, then I will announce it at the end of the week. Otherwise, these adopts will remain open until I find the best roleplayer for them.

TERMS OF SERVICE

1. COMMUNICATION IS KEY — Please understand that real life happens, and if you start to fall behind, please reach out to me so I know what’s going on. Inactivity doesn’t immediately always mean losing the character; I just have to be aware of what’s going on to give you the proper grace you need.

2. While they do not have to be your main character, I ask that they be semi-active and interact with the others. Inactivity will result in the character being reclaimed. A minimum of 2 posts per month is required to meet the semi activity requirement unless you are on leave and I’ve been informed.

3. Before reclaiming a character, I will attempt to contact you three (3) separate times through discord and on the forum. If there’s no response, the character will be reclaimed on the fourth (4) attempt. Again, communication is key!

4. If you are on hiatus for over three (3) months without communication, I reserve the right to reclaim and rehome the character at my discretion.

5. If you are on hiatus for over six (6) months, even with communication, I reserve the right to reclaim and rehome the character at my discretion.

6. These characters (and their designs) remain the property of myself (Devi) unless specific clauses below are met:

• 6-a. If you reach 60 posts, you have permission to use the character on Vivarium Only. You do not own the design/character If you become inactive, I reserve the right to reclaim the character and rehome it at my discretion.

• 6-b. If you reach 100 posts, you may have—provided we have discussed this—permission to use the design off Vivarium, so long as the backstory, personality, name, and history of the character don’t change. You do not own the design/character If you become inactive, I reserve the right to reclaim the character at my discretion and rehome it.

• 6-c. If you reach 150 posts, I will reach out to you (or you can reach out to me) about possibly co-owning the design and character. You will pay half of the monetary value of the design and have full co-ownership rights. Please keep the history, name, and character the same should you move the character off Vivarium. More details about co-ownership will be discussed in a separate contract. If you do not wish to co-own, I will proceed with continuing to “rent/loan” the character to you. Should you fall inactive and paid for co-ownership, the character will be presumed dead during your absence, either indefinitely or for an extended leave. Co-ownership grants you equal creative rights for use and portrayal of the character, but not the right to resell, redesign, or redistribute the design without mutual consent or allowing me to buy out your half.

7. Do not apply for this adopt if you plan to immediately have them die, run away, be kidnapped, have a complete personality switch, or get amnesia. If you follow one of these paths in an inorganic manner or too soon, this adopt will be revoked from the player. ‘Too soon’ is considered to be 1 year after receiving the adopt. These actions are permitted only after one (1) full year of active play and must feel organic to the character’s development. Any early or abrupt deviation may result in the adopt being revoked.

8. Please communicate! Should you, the adopter, feel stuck, struggling with muse, or need help in some way, reach out to me! I will help you and do everything in my power to assist you in getting out of your rut. If we both decide it’s best to return the character, that’s perfectly fine — there’s no shame in it, and it helps keep the character’s story alive for others to continue and enjoy.

9. Do not modify, resell, or redistribute the design without explicit permission.

10. Minor aesthetic edits (such as scars, accessories, or minor tweaks) are allowed only with prior approval.

He’s Heaven’s Fang, the voice of the gods on earth—but behind all that, Shēnléi is still a man trying to balance love, duty, and faith. He’s calm on the outside, always collected, always in control, but deep down he feels everything too much. He loves hard, hurts quietly, and when it comes to his family, he carries all that emotion like it’s another crown on his head.

Shēnléi's paternal uncle is the father he never had, the one who taught him how to be both a man and a ruler. They fight sometimes, always have, but there’s never hate behind it. Shēnléi leans on him more than he’ll ever admit out loud. He trusts Yao’s judgment even when he hates hearing it. There’s a kind of comfort in their arguments, like an old rhythm they’ve kept for years and never stopped. He loves the man deeply, but he’d never say it outloud or admit it to his face. He just keeps him close and prays the gods won’t take him too soon.
