Two cracks in the land had announced themselves behind his mountain, and Altair was pissed, to say the least, they disturbed the quiet of the peaks, emitting a harsh blue glow that ruined his early morning naps after a long night patrol. So, when the faint blue peaked into his den, Altair stood without complaint and left the mountain for now, to venture north just a little bit, escape that annoying blue glow.

Now he walked through somewhere overgrown and different from the stony mountains the fresh grassy valley he knew so well. He hadn't left the mountain since he'd arrived, too home sick already to leave somewhere that felt close enough to home. He kind of missed Briar, missed that velvety voice of hers, the Ignis kissed fur. She surely had to be a gift from the gods, from Ignis himself to show everything would be quite alright.

Now, he searched, for something that the dreams from before had seemed to talk about, a stone, something small that hid until it didn't hide anymore, but did he truly want to do this alone? No, not really, so he hoped, maybe, on the way he'd run into someone, anyone.

Altair didn't mind the quiet, it was peaceful, but the quiet with not even a peep of an animal had his skin crawling like he had bugs under his skin, and he personally hated it. So to keep himself distracted, he set a soft trot and a light hum, an old tune his own mother used to sing. It was soothing to his mind, but didn't help him being alone, his mind briefly drifted to the Lady of Ignis, tail swaying slowly in a wag.

He didn't even hear the approaching paws of a wolf, lost in his thoughts and where his paws stepped. Briefly he paused to sniff, barely able to smell much past the smell of the strand, heavy in his nostrils, and only when a flash of fur came into his vision did he snap back to reality, a snarl ripping from his throat at first at the intrusion of his path and the challenging stance of the other but he quickly calmed, hackles smoothing over seeing the familiar pelt.

Lady of Ignis..

His voice came softer, but still rough and focused in his chest. Slowly he stepped closer, sniffing at the air around her, smell the other scents on her and hummed faintly. he saw the wink, saw her grin and the high wave of her tail but he was focused on just her, nothing else.

Honestly? yeah, mountains got pretty boring, very quick.

Rune Discovery : 「 Success - Tectonic Tampering」

If you thought a stroll was all it would take to get away from the end of the world, sadly, you were mistaken. None are meant to escape this inevitable end, and the continent seems to resent you thinking you could forget, even for a moment, the weight of its hatred for wolvenkind.

If its boredom you seek to alleviate, that can certainly be arranged!

The distant mountain shakes, and from a thinning place in the forest, you see another horrific gash of blue open up to swallow that hazy scenery. It's... far enough away. You're probably safe.

Or you would be, except that the jostling sets free eroded stone faces. Now a horde of tree-shattering, multi-ton rocks are rolling at increasingly alarming speed downhill in a cloud of smoke. Towards you. And, like a last laugh from the universe, one of those burdensome boulders is glistening with a rune.

If you can avoid getting flattened, and keep track of where it lands down here in the valley... you can probably retrieve it.

Fissure Event

The resolution of this event is entirely up to you. Your success retrieving the rune is assumed with no further Narrator intervention needed. Note that you will perish if you fall into the crack!

Briar was something warm to see with this bitter cold weather that nipped at the ears and didn't seem to calm down despite being south of the Alpines. A hum settled soft in his throat seeing her, a smile settling onto his expression as his tail gave a soft wag. For a brief moment, he wanted to envelop himself in her curl into her skin so he smelt like her, but was entirely unsure if she'd even let him do that, so he restrained and admired quietly.

She'd brought three new wolves, possibly for the Kingdom and that brought joy to him, his chest fluttered, a silent pride bubbling up, she could gather wolves effortlessly, even if two were her brothers. Something flickered, his head just barely rotating a little before the world rumbled, Mythris wasn't happy they wanted to ignore the events happening, and as boulders started rolling towards them, Altair's head snapped to Briar, and worry slipping into his expression until he felt teeth in the loose skin of his neck.

Jerking forwards, he grunted briefly before finding his footing and following after, paws drumming, his eyes catching sight of the blue glow, letting Briar guide him whilst he kept his sights on that pretty blue color. It was eye catching, and he wanted it, needed it, it was shiny and pretty.

I want it-

He was cut off when his paw caught, quickly adjusting his footing and turning his head back to Briar.
