Two cracks in the land had announced themselves behind his mountain, and Altair was pissed, to say the least, they disturbed the quiet of the peaks, emitting a harsh blue glow that ruined his early morning naps after a long night patrol. So, when the faint blue peaked into his den, Altair stood without complaint and left the mountain for now, to venture north just a little bit, escape that annoying blue glow.
Now he walked through somewhere overgrown and different from the stony mountains the fresh grassy valley he knew so well. He hadn't left the mountain since he'd arrived, too home sick already to leave somewhere that felt close enough to home. He kind of missed Briar, missed that velvety voice of hers, the Ignis kissed fur. She surely had to be a gift from the gods, from Ignis himself to show everything would be quite alright.
Now, he searched, for something that the dreams from before had seemed to talk about, a stone, something small that hid until it didn't hide anymore, but did he truly want to do this alone? No, not really, so he hoped, maybe, on the way he'd run into someone, anyone.
