Speech Emotional Actions Thoughts

Today wasn't too bad, his soreness had long faded away, be it because his time spent with Briar, or the poppy seeds he'd taken, he wasn't sure but he liked the idea that being with Briar soothed his pains. She soothed his ache for a companion, his desperate, silent want for someone he can directly rely on without questioning if they'll leave him. He won't stop loving her till it snows in June.

His mind wandered, paws moving absently along the border of the mountains, scenting the areas, sniffing for any trespassers and hunted down any scents he didn't know just to find they passed through briefly. It relieved him at the moment that he didn't have issues lately, besides that big ol' cat that tried to take HIS mountain.

Slowly, Altair yawned, he should change his sleep schedule..Sleeping during the day has left him fatigued through the night, maybe he could sleep late in the night and only be asleep for a little bit in the day? But the sun is there to watch the kingdom during the day..Who watches it at night? The moon? Funny.

Coming up to the edge of a border, Altair's leg lifted silently, marking a scent post fresh, watching that faint white to gold glow slowly fade as piss cooled into the dirt. He hoped soon he'd find more wolves, perhaps some to become sacrifices..Oh he hasn't eaten that kind of meat in so long, it'd be lovely to get a taste at it again.

Altair's saliva glows faintly white into gold.

Spring had truly sprung! A lovely breeze had woken Lovett in the late morning, and he'd spent most of the day sunbaking, though he had the excuse of searching for herbs fresh on his tongue. It was not a waste of a day to enjoy the weather for once, he didn't think... not if no one was watching. He had work to do, of course, but herbs took time to grow, and there was still the issue of location. There were a few good areas, but he had yet to bring some seeds over to plant and watch if they took root. It was difficult to grow non-cave plants in the cave, or so he had heard. It was good, he thought, he had arrived in late winter, and not autumn. That would have been disastrous.

As the day grew long, and was beginning to turn to night, Lovett was still out, though he had begun to explore properly, despite the light fading with every moment. Still, his nose worked just as good in the dark, so he set to prancing around daintily, noting any worthy locations to come back and replenish his stock. With his current group, he knew he would need a larger backup stock than he was used to seeing.

Fresh wolf-scent washed over him, making his nose twitch at the sudden strong smell; Altair. It was unmistakable. He'd seen the wolf around before, but never gotten to speak to him in private. He had been wondering about this pack he'd been brought into, and was helping to create. Briar had mentioned a few things here and there, but Lovett was curious to hear from the lead himself. It was difficult to imagine anyone but Briar leading the three siblings, so it was safe to say the wolf was fairly impressive already.

Not bothering to hide his approach, Lovett used his nose to lead him closer to the other wolf, though he continued to place his paws daintily, as if he was scared of a little mud here and there. It seemed their leader was marking the borders, Lovett's grey eyes drawn to the dull glow of their urine. How... odd. That, plus Briar's obvious lack of shadow was greatly confusing, concerning, even. Still, he was too polite to ask. Hello, Lovett said, quiet and polite. Do you mind if I join you on your patrol?
