It was kind of funny really.
The Goldencourte women had been so smitten by Persimmon, that when his wounds healed and it was time for him to come home they just...didn't want to let him go.
Really, Sparrow should have returned to the Oasis sooner to let Apple know they were alive, but then Fiadh had shown up with a missing eye and with her mate and most of her kids missing...well. Shit happened. Sparrow's spent the last week looking for signs of Dimitri and Darragh, she had found Ksyusha and sent her home to see her mom though gods know the girl would just go off exploring again after.
The others were in the care of their grandmothers, though who knew if they were alright after the whole end of the world situation.
But she left Persi in their care, and began her trek back to the falls.
It looked so different without all the snow, in the sunlight, a good different.

The coywolf howled out for Apple once she reached the borders, before heading towards the woman's den, very obviously not having the pastel boy with her but...his scent was still stuck to her fur at least.....
