It was the strangest things, to see the clouds in such a way. Aningaat had never quite seen anything like it in all his life. His whole life of literally two moons, that is.

As the sky lit up with sunset, instead of puffy loose white, sleeves of little wisps or even dark clouds which covered much of the blue sky, these clouds were quite round and they looked so solid, like he could reach up and grab them if he had the height to do so.

Was this normal??

What wrong with cloud? The boy asked the nearest wolf around.

The air here was definitely thick, damp, moist. His tongue jut in and out of his mouth, tasting the air as the other girl mentioned a coming of rain.

Look funny. He said, with the little bit of vocabulary he currently had at his age.

Aningaat had not quite decided if he liked this place yet or not. With the mucky earth that made him slip a lot and fall, the heat and dew always on his pelt. However he was a baby. All the sounds were interesting and there were so many bugs and other crawling things to chase and bite at.

Lossa rain, bein’ so big. Ani decided with a little nod as he looked to the larger girl.

The stormy colored girl grins at the possibility of a storm to come. Aningaat liked the sound of rainfall in general, although thunder a time or two before had jolted the boy many a time, causing him to nearly jump out of his skin from such a loud suddenness.

Now the Lanzadoii girl spoke up of his sister in reference to their mother. Stumbling over the name he himself would need time to learn how to pronounce. After all, she was simply ‘mama’ to him.

An-in-gaat. He spoke the name of the moon and, as it were, himself, named after the moon for his mark. Sister sun is Siqiniq. The Sunshine people, he thought. Rain is…Qa, Qail… The pup's brows furrowed as he found frustration in his own speech limitations. The name “Qailertetang” was quite the mouthful. Weaffer spirit.
