Lotus was busy playing in the snow. Kicking up the piles around her to watch them fall back down around her. The cold slowly seeping into her bones. Not that she minded because finally they were home. Her family was back together, or well they would be soon enough. She thought of her father and her littermates, of her older sisters brother and father.

And then the commotion came. She watched as her mom tackled her father to the ground. And she couldn’t help herself. “Daddy!” She yelled Like a small child.

She too threw herself into a running motion. Trying to get to her parents. She hadn’t seen him in so long. He hadn’t gotten to see her blossom into her size and her golden colors. And she missed him.
